Help / Brawlbox crash when loading MDL0
July 04, 2014, 08:13:22 PM
I opened a BRRES (made with CTools) and whenever I click in the ''+'' of MDL0, it crashes, poping-up this error window:

Error Code (there are some sentences in Spanish):

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I even tried with the latest version of Brawlbox (0.71), and the same error just pop-up.

Help / Re: MarioKart Wii

I understand, but it is really easier to hack MKW than SSBB. Maybe you don't want the CTGP way,so I'll teach you another method (Assuming that you use Riivolution):

http://rvlution.net/riivolution/images/2/20/MKWtemplate.xml Go to this page, right click>Save As> Save the XML file in the riivolution folder on your SD.

2. Create a folder called ''mkw''. Now put all your files you want to replace there (you see, you don't need to make any folders, just putting the files in that folder will make Riivolution to patch them in the game :) )

3. http://www.mariokartwii.com/f72/all-mkwii-file-names-list-69522.html Go to this page to rename your files properly according the character and the kart/bike you're going to replace (eg, if you are replacing ''Sonic Bike.SZS'' to Mario's Mach Bike, you will have to rename it ''ma_bike-mr.SZS'')

4. In Riivolution, go to the option ''MKW Replacement'', set it to ''Enable'' and play ;)

If you didn't understand, I'm very sorry, I'm not really good writing tutorials, but I did as best as I could. :(

This is confusing, what do you really want? How to rename SZS files to make them work on MKW or?

Help / Problem with ThrowN bone
April 16, 2014, 05:09:50 PM
Hello, I'm having a problem with the bone ThrowN (Captain Falcon). That bone causes a part of the geometry to mess up, just like in the image.

I tried to fix it by decreasing the Weight in ''Set Weight'' on the Weight Tool to 0,0; but it keeps like previously (well, a part of the geometry is fixed, but not all)

So if there's a method to make that bone to not have ANY influence with that part of the model, please let me know, Thanks.

Hi! First, watch this video of how to install CTGP (a Mario Kart Wii mod) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NxqAQBcjPI

When you have it installed, you can install your own tracks or other custom files by putting them on SD>mkw folder. This is a better method than the File Patch code one. The SZS is like a .rar file, there you have the model, collision and other things of a circuit.

Here you have a few tutorials to start hacking MKW: http://wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Category:Tutorials

Hope it helped!

Oops, sorry, I meant Wimms ISO Patcher, instead of Wimms SZS Tools.

Dolphin can extract files from the game you want by right-clicking on it in Dolphin, then click on Properties>Filesystem, and after that extract the file you want by right-clicking on it>Extract. Unafortunately, Dolphin just can extract files, but not replace them. Anyway, you can do:

-Download another SSBB ISO
-Use Wimms SZS Tools to replace the files, instead of Wiiscrubber.

Hope it helps!

PS: Are you having the ''io_seek'' error in Wiiscrubber when you open your ISO?

Help / Re: Delete Bones?

You can either delete them or rename them.

But doing either will make your model rig not safe for Wifi.
Thank you, worked well by renaming the bones. Anyway, I don't care for Wifi (I never find anyone on it, and besides the online feature is gonna shut down in 20th May)

Help / [SOLVED] Delete Bones?
April 03, 2014, 04:25:59 PM
OK, so there are 2 bones in my model (MouthBN and MouthN) that I want to delete. So, is there a way to delete them (or just make them unusable, so the animations matched to those bones won't work)?

Help / Re: Transparent textures are opaque.

The problem is because of the model, not the texture.
Go to the properties of the material that uses that texture and set these values accordingly.

Under "Alpha Function":
128
GreaterOrEqual
And
255
LessOrEqual

Under "Material"
ZCompareLoc: True

Also, make sure EnableBlend under "Blend Mode" is set to False.

Now go to the shader attached to that material.
Go to Stage0's properties.
Assuming you're using the Brawlbox default shader, change these values under "c TEV Alpha Env":
AlphaSelectionC: Zero
AlphaSelectionD: TextureAlpha

Use CMPR or whatever Brawlbox recommends for the texture format.
Thank you, textures are fine now! :)

Help / [SOLVED] Transparent textures are opaque.
March 29, 2014, 02:41:08 PM
Hello, one of my textures are transparent, but in the game is opaque (black or white). Tried importing it as CMPR and RGBA53, but no luck. Besides, in HasPalette is set to False. I made sure it has an Alpha channel in Gimp too.

Real Texture:
