Well cya later SDoom, I haven't been on these forums very long by I always enjoyed your posts and your PSAs are awesome. Hope you decide to come back after awhile though. And what's with the "never had a girlfriend even though I'm 16" don't worry about things like that, I'm 21 and have never had a GF either (not for lack of trying, most of the girls that I have an interest in just tend to already have a boyfriend). Wish you the best in finding a girl anyways though.

I was thinking about putting that in but in the game Zant always fires them off in rapid succession and that would be hard to do without using articles. And since this is my first PSA I'm trying to stay away from articles until I get a better feel for editing and then I'll move on to article editing and I might use it in a later edition of him.

thanks for the offer SDoom
I might have to take you up on that soon as I keep hitting snags. Most of the snags I've been able to get out of just by thinking about it long enough but I fear I don't know enough about PSA yet to think my way out of some of my bigger problems. As of right now I actually have finished making the Neutral B-move. The code is shoddy however, but at least it works... well it works until you go off screen and try to use the teleport portion of it then it just freezes the game or doesn't move you at all -_-

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Zant The Usurper King

Hey Everyone! So I'm new to the site and to brawl hacking in general but I'm starting up a project and I figured it would be fun to start a thread to let you know what my first project is and my plans are for it and to get feedback.
So my first project that I will be working on is Zant The Usurper King from Twilight Princess. Beyond has already given me permission to use his Model over Falco so I will be working with that. I'm pretty new to PSA and Brawl Box so things will be simple for now. I hope to have a V1 of him by the end of the month, or at least within the next 30 days. And I hope to have a V 0.1 out by the middle of next week. V1 being a complete change to all the attacks and most of the animations and V 0.1 just being a change to a few of his animations, all of his B moves, and probably a few of the A moves. Most of Zant's Animations and Moves will be inspired by his cutscenes from Twilight Princess and partially from his battle with Link.
Since this is my first project I'm going to try to do things simple. After I make a V1 of him I will probably move on to new projects and come back and tweak him once I've learned more about PSA and Brawlbox.
So lets get on with the Moveset.
Neutral B - In this move Zant will create a dark pillar hitting anything above or below him for 6% damage and high knockback. Short charge time before the attack happens, at the end of the charge you can move Left or Right and it will teleport Zant to a new location to call the pillar. If used in the air will put him into Free Fall mode.
Side B - Zant teleports forward doing no damage. A trail of fire follows after him dealing 8% damage and no Knockback. If done in the Air Zant will teleport at a roughly 315 degree angle.
Down B - Zant spins around on the ground causing low damage with low knockback. This move can be controlled similar to Luigi's Down B. If done in the air Zant will spin for about a second and then shoot down to the ground, burying anyone that is hit.
Up B - A simple upwards teleport with no hitboxes. Zant will not be left in free fall mode but all his Jumps will be taken away.
Neutral A Combo - First hit is right in front of Zant for 2% that pulls them forward. Second hit is a wind box with base knockback.
Foward Smash - Zant leans back and then does a headbutt for 10-20%
Down Smash - TBD / To Be Determined (ideas are welcome on all of the TBD moves)
Up Smash - TBD
Down Tilt - Does a quick twist with his sleeves hitting opponents on either side of him for 4% and low knockback
Side Tilt - Extends his sleeves forwards for 4% and low knock back 4% with high knock back at the tips
Up Tilt - Extends his sleeves upwards dealing 4% with low knock back and 6% with medium knock back at the tips
Neutral Air - Spin move much like his Down B without the momentum change
Up Air - TBD
Down Air - TBD
Forward Air - TBD
Back Air - TBD
So that's all I've got so far. I'll be updating this thread as I progress. As of posting this I currently have rough coding for his Neutral A, Down B, Side B, and Neutral B though they are very buggy and need work. I also have have new Wait Animations and Ground Dodges for him. Hopefully by sometime next week I will have his B moves all done with Animation and no bugs.

Hmm I don't think so. I'm also using NSTC-U and mine is named rsbe not rsbe01 and I've never had a problem bringing the files up. That could be your problem? Simply switch the folder name and it might work. My friend also has an NSTC-U Wii and his folder is also just named rsbe if I remember correctly and both of our Wii's run the mods.

Well one of the problems is that FitLucario00 should not be renamed.
FitLucario00.pcs is the model data (so in this case everything that is Mewtwo's model is in there) along with FitLucario00.pac FitLucario.pac is the data for the attacks
You should have at least 4 files in the Mewtwo one
FitLucario.pac FitLucario00.pac FitLucario00.pcs FitLucarioMotionEtc.pac
You can use just the FitLucario.pac file but it will still be Lucario using Mewtwo's moves with Lucario's animations
You shouldn't be renaming any files for the Mewtwo one at least
Also do you have the right codes uploaded to Gecko? If you don't have the right code file in your SD card then Gecko will load the game but it won't change anything about it. Make sure you have the right code file.
Aside from that I wouldn't know what your problem is.
EDIT- Oh also one more thing is to make sure you have the files in the right folder. For Mewtwo your SD card should look something like this
Root->private->wii->app->rsbe->pf->Fighter->Lucario
And then you put at minimum those 4 files into that folder and DO NOT RENAME THEM.
Also Root is just the normal root folder of your card you shouldn't actually have a folder named root in there
Code files go into Root->codes and it should be named RSBE01.gct
OKAY ONE MORE EDIT! I had a "DURR" moment and actually decided to go look up the files you are trying to put in and I just wanted to clarify something with you. All of those files that you are trying to load are nothing more then Model/Texture which means the characters will not play different just look different. All of those files will be named Fit(Character)00.pac and Fit(Character)00.pcs. Once again do not change these file names they MUST be named that in order to change the model and texture data.
The Zero (Megaman X Zero not Megaman Zero Zero) is the only one that is a Fit(Character).pac file (FitLink.pac to be specific). This will ONLY change his moveset. If you want him to look like Zero as well then you will have to find the FitLink00.pac and FitLink00.pcs files in another download. But once again don't change these files.
Hope this helps.
