Hey, I know most experienced hackers hate explaining things, and I've self taught myself a ton of hacking in the past few days but now I'm at a real .

Just got some new games and of course the friggin' Wii wants an update. I tried to use that preloader app but it always says "failed to locate root" when I try to install. This may have been answered before but I don't want to go through 24 forum pages looking for it.

I could really use some help here, I've done a lot of hacks to this wii so I'm too scared to put in the update in case it bricks and I just can't for the life of me figure out how to get past it. I'm using wii software 4.3

*EDIT: I should also mention that I have also tried priiloader, and while that did seem to install, nothing changed. I was under the impression that priiloader would activate as soon as I turned on my wii in place of a system menu, was I totally wrong about that?
