Are you loading in any ocarina codes? If so one of your codes may be the problem, if you are running ocarina with riivolution try disabling your codes first if possible to see if that's the issue

No problem, and good luck Smiley

Ok simple question, since ocarina has a nasty drawback of only being able to read in 256 lines of code, is there any way to read in multiple code files simultaneously by modding the memory addresses located in the ocarina XML template?

Not sure as I haven't done much of that myself but technically if you could find some way to edit the .pac file I see no reason why you couldn't edit the file yourself pending you knew what you were doing.

Hmm...I don't think it's the textures, I migrated from Gecko to Riivolution as well and my stuff works fine. What file structure are you using? are you using the ssbb template where you just drop everything into the ssbb folder on your root directory or are you using the X:/private/wii/..../pf/etc. structure?

Ahh ok yes you can do that, in order to do that you need to name them STGTENGAN_1.PAC, STGTENGAN_2.PAC, STGTENGAN_3.PAC. However, you are correct all 3 stage models need to be the same model so all 3 need to be battlefield or jungle japes or w/e you want to replace it with. You can have 3 different stage files true, but still only 1 rel file associated with the stage as a whole.

Well, first off no you cannot change the stage layout by changing the rel file, all the rel file does is load a set of rules for the stage telling it how to lay everything out. Secondly, I don't think you can have all 3 maps load at once for one level unless it's a level that is divided into three parts such as the Fire Emblem Castle Siege level. But in short no I don't believe that is possible.

You'll need to patch in the item textures manually. First you need brawlbox then you download whichever item you want to replace. Open the common3.pac or common3_en.pac (depending on whether you're NTSC or PAL) with brawl box (I'd Recommend making a backup of your original file first) and then open the folder directory named ItmCommonBrres. Once you do this find whichever item you're trying to replace (so if the item is named ItmCapsuleBrres.pac, look for a folder named ItmCapsuleBrres) Right click the item and click replace (not replace all) once finished patching in textures click file and save at the top and then drag into the appropriate location on your SD card

Hello BrawlVault.net,
I'm sort of stuck on an error that has been driving me nuts for about a week now, I have successfully hacked my stages, characters, and music but I'd like to hack my items as well. I found a guide that explained you have to patch a common3.pac file to do this. So no sweat I grab Brawl Box and patch it, double check the textures and sure enough they patch ok so I save everything and drop it into my ssbb folder. (I'm using Riivolution with the SSBBTemplate.xml so I don't have any of that weird pf/fighter hierarchy going on) Well that's where my problems begin. I load everything up and everything works...except the item textures which remain the same. Now I've isolated this to two possible issues, either a. I'm using a PAL version of common3.pac and so the reason it doesn't load is the game code doesn't match. The only other thing I could think of is that the SSBBTemplate.XML somehow doesn't support system hacks. Now, since I am fairly new to hacking brawl there could also be something else causing this (these are just my theories), so I am asking for a bit of insight on this matter and if it is a simple region issue could someone please provide me a working link to an NTSC version of common3.pac because all the links I've found are either broken or lead to PAL downloads (and a few unmarked which haven't worked so far). Thank you very much and hope everyone who reads all of this has a good day Smiley

Update: I fixed this myself, I did a quick test and found that I needed to leave the file named common3_en.pac in order for it to work. My item mods work now, thanks for everyone who read this and I hope this helps someone who is having the same issues I had Smiley
