Accordinng to his problem some of his hacks made other hacks disappear
so check all of them
bcuz some hacks are picky

It's not that they literally aren't appearing when I play as them, but the hacks don't actually replace the character when I select them, for instance, when I pick Ike because I want to play as Cloud who is supposed to appear over him, I'm still Ike despite picking the color that's Cloud is supposed to replace.

I've booted up the game a few times with the SD card lock slider on either side and the results were still the same, but thank you anyway.

It's not just Cloud. All of them suddenly disappeared after an hour or so. It wasn't in the middle of a session; I booted up Brawl through Gecko as usual one time and the textures were completely gone and suddenly I found myself back to playing vanilla Brawl.

I also took your advice and did away with files that looked too large, not just Cloud, but they still didn't show up.

Yes, all of them do. The problem is they aren't showing up anywhere, not even in Brawl mode.

Okay, so just to get things out of the way, I have read most help threads and they didn't seem to be similar to mine. I have also read the stickies and they didn't seem to be much help either, and I don't know if I'm missing the obvious, so here I am.

So here's my story: I started hacking my Wii and Brawl pretty much less than 24 hours ago. This "hacking" business is a whole new world to me. I started with some texture hacks for the characters or whatever you guys like to call them. It was easy enough. What matters is I got them to work.

For a while.

About an hour or two into enjoying my new characters, I decided to try out Classic mode. I chose Ike because I had downloaded a Cloud skin for him. Entering the fight, I notice one thing. I was playing as Ike, not Cloud.

I thought I just picked the wrong color for him, so I went back and chose another color for him. Still playing as Ike. Went back, changed colors, vice versa. They were all Ikes.

I was beginning to think that the textures don't work on Classic mode, maybe. I went back to Brawl mode and chose Ike once again, and a CPU. I chose a stage. The fight started, and I was Ike once again. Doing the same routine as Classic mode, I went through every color of Ike. There was no sign of Cloud. Trying the other characters I had downloaded textures for, there were no signs of them either.

Despite the textures not appearing, the game would still freeze whenever I would do something that would freeze the game if the textures DID appear, such as when I made Ike the CPU for a round.

I thought at first that Classic mode had rendered my textures useless, but then I realized that my Wii is probably one of the newer versions in which Nintendo is trying to wipe out HB stuff. I know I probably sound like a total idiot right now, but remember that I just started this thing yesterday. If any of you guys know what happened and how I can fix it, please reply. Thanks!
