I just got a new SD card today, so i transferred all of the brawl hacks i had on my old one to my new one. But my new sd card does not load my hacks even though gecko os says they are on there. please help

First of all, I'm new to brawl hacking. I've downloaded several characters, and i've noticed that in some of the packages i've downloaded there is a txt file with codes in it. i'm assuming these codes are required for the character sfx to work properly. Where do these codes go on my sd card, or do I need something else to use them?
