But the problem is that it doesn't give me the option to download the XML file. It just takes me to a screen with some text. I need to download it. Also I have the file patch code set up in Code Manager and exported it to a GCT file. I followed all the steps for Gecko OS and it won't work for me. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I just followed the Complete n00bs guide to Brawl hacking (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=12169.0) and tried the Homebrew channel and Gecko OS method. When I launched the game from Gecko OS, my character hacks didn't work. I was supposed to have Banjo-Kazooie replace Mario's black clothing skin.

These are the files and their locations in my folders on my SD card. I don't know why they didn't work when I launched the game from Gecko OS. So I decided to try downloading Riivolution instead. There are too many Youtube videos saying different things about how to install Riivolution, so I'm trying to stick the Complete n00bs guide. However, when I get to step #3, I can't figure out how to download the XML file.

3. Download the File Patch XML for Brawl here: http://rvlution.net/riivolution/images/5/5c/SSBBfiles.xml. (This is so that you can place files where they would go if you were using the File Patch code, since most people provide instructions based on that.)

That was step #3 from the guide. When I go to that link, it doesn't give me any sort of download option. It's just text. Hi, I'm attempting to hack my Wii for the first time. I have the Homebrew channel installed already, and from what I understand, I need to install something called "Riivolution" on my Wii before I can use the hacks I've downloaded. I've looked all over Youtube and Google and there are so many different sets of instructions and none of them seem to work. I just want to play as other characters like Banjo-Kazooie or some Anime characters. I'm not very good at this sort of thing, so if anyone could give me some guidance or provide a reliable link that will help me out, I'd really appreciate it.
