Yeah. I'm using Gecko 1.9. The common5.pac was working perfectly fine until I tried to edit one of Lucario's character select pictures and it crashes whenever I load up a character selection screen. I tried using a fresh common5.pac and adding in everything I had before EXCEPT for Lucario's CSP and yet it still crashes when I go into a character select screen now.

Bump. I still have this problem.

Nah...You don't have to do that for me. I still have all the CSPs, it's just gonna take some time putting them back on a fresh Common5.pac file. It was my mistake. I also thought that maybe there was an error with the actual image of Lucario being changed? Could someone send me an original CSP of the original-costume Lucario so I can change it back and see if that fixes it?

Really? I mean those two have always been on there until I modded Lucario's picture.

And it crashes whenever I get to the character selection screen of anything, be it Training or Brawl mode.

I just read that and now I'm happy to find that my Gecko program will replace sound effects!

The problem is...Super Sawndz! I don't know how to use it!

I try to create a bnk file, but that won't do anything! I try to insert a Sawndz file, but it won't do anything! I can't even find a freaking tutorial on how to do any of this crap online. Can someone PLEASE help me?

Ok. Recently I modded my common5.pac file to add ONE image to Lucario in his Mega Form to the selection screen. Ever since then, the game crashes whenever I attempt to use it with the common5.pac.

I use GeckoOS 1.9 to launch my brawl hacks, as I can't use riivolution as I can't seem to get it to work. Can someone help me as to how to fix my problem? Its only for my common5.pac. I've had to remove my common5.pac to get the game to work but the custom pictures for character/map selection aren't there.

This is moreover a cosmetic problem (Among other as I won't remember who is who since some of the characters had CSS's to replace their characters with the modded character, like Nephenee for Link.)



Will I just have to start over from scratch or could I do something to fix my already modded common5.pac file?

I actually figured it out after actually watching your first video. I didn't watch it at first cause I thought it was just for the main menu but it was for much more lol. Thanks though.

Is it ONLY for sound and voice? Cause Gecko OS is letting me change stage music.

Also, I know I probably can't do this but I'm gonna ask it anyway:

Say a PSA file is made for a specific character, say...Marth. If you change FitMarth00.pcs/pac to...say...FitMario00.pcs/pac...will it work? Probably not but its worth an ask. There are some Fire Emblem characters I want to get but I'd have so little to choose from since a lot of them use the same character...

Okay...so my friend got me into brawl hacking when he introduced it to me, and I've figured out how to at least get my character's textures and movesets changed. However, one thing eludes me...but let me start from the beginning:

When I first started downloading hacks, I downloaded this Goku hack that replaces Captain Falcon and it came with PREMADE brss or whatever the files are that change the look of captain's portraits and such within the game. However, I still get the default Captain Falcon Character Selection picture. I know that there are Goku character selection pictures as I've seen them in Brawl Box (Which I don't know how to use). He also came with some custom sounds such as his actual voice but these aren't working either!


I even downloaded a Shadow the Hedgehog over DK mod that included custom pics for shadow, however all that works is his moveset and appearance; none of his custom portraits or voices work.


That was about a month ago. NOW I just started downloading hacks again and came across this hack of Nephenee from Fire Emblem that I want to use.

And it came with SO MANY pictures to replace Character selection portraits, battle portraits, stock portraits, etc. However I don't know how to use them! Can someone explain to me how to use these so music, voices, and portraits show up correctly?

If it matters, I use GeckOS for my hacks.
