1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: Shock's Model Imports, Vote for next Character Import! on: November 19, 2011, 08:48:02 PM
Thanks. Not to disappoint you or anything but I made only like 2 animations for Klonoa and the rest was StarWaffle, frostymm and I think aaron and k-canon did some too. I think  the reason people think I did most of the work is because I'm technically the leader but all I really did was make the model work well on Lucas and get the project started and the rest of the team did the psa and animations and other stuff and I just helped some with it. Also, yea I try to have a taste in media that isn't the norm. I like to look for under rated stuff to see why it is under rated. Like to me Telltale games and Psychonauts are under rated in the main media but they still have fan bases. It's interesting to me certain things still have fan bases but are just not as widely known. Anyway yea Homestar Runner definitely needs his own running animation.
As far as I'm concerned, the Klonoa and Lloyd projects were the best pre-BrawlBox 0.65 import projects, so being the leader of one of those projects is still pretty impressive.

Since you mentioned Telltale, I've gotta say, I think Max's manic energy would work quite well on Diddy Kong. I mean come on, latching on to someone's face like a Facehugger from Alien while beating the crap out of them sounds like something Max would do, right? I've got absolutely no idea who Sam would work over, though.

EDIT: I completely forgot about the more recent Megaman Volnutt import project. That one ranks pretty high too.

Hehe yes a pizza trophy would be cool. I'm pretty sure I can pull this off for ya no sweat. Should I keep my idea of putting Strong Bad over Wario and Homestar over Mario? Or should I choose different characters?

Edit: Also, do you really mean all that? I don't think I'm that great of a brawl hacker yet. Unless you are just talking about me being really good at model importing and rigging bones.
Yes, I meant it. You're good with importing, if I'm not mistaken you did some of the incredible custom animations for the Klonoa project, and you like Homestar Runner, so you must have impeccable taste. As for who to put Strong Bad over, I think you may be right about Wario being the best choice. That way, he can sound at least a little bit like Strong Bad without an SFX hack (plus it'll allow him to have a custom icon and victory theme without affecting anyone else).

I also agree with Homestar Runner over Mario. I may lose several hours of my life trying to make custom animations for Strong Bad and Homestar when they're released (Homestar's definitely gonna need a custom run animation).
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: General beginner's questions on: November 15, 2011, 02:39:51 PM
1) The Project M Demo is limited to those 14 characters. When there's an update, there should be more characters, and they limited it to those 14 because they only finished those 14.
2) Get an unedited .rel, if the stage is already meant to go over FD, download Bero's Stage Switcher, google it, it should take maybe a minute or so. Then follow the readme's instructions.
3)Get either the GCT Fusionizer, if you already have one, or the Ocarina Code Manager. For Ocarina code manager, open it, click new .txt file. Then save it somewhere, then open that with Notepad. Add all the codes onto it, then open up the .txt with Ocarina code manager again. Check all the boxes, then save it as a .gct somewhere, it should be named RSBE01.gct. Goes into X:\codes\RSBE01.gct
For 1) I think Tango wanted to know how to edit his GCT to allow for a 15th character, or to switch one out one of the characters he doesn't use with Ike. This can be done, but I have neither the time or patience to figure out how.

I'm glad you were able to tell him the exact program names. I rarely use them, thus my not remembering their names.

@Tango
BTW, for 3), you can also go to geckocodes.org. They have an onsite GCT creator.

Sorry, but I don't really understand the question. Could you elaborate (or rephrase)?
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: General beginner's questions on: November 14, 2011, 08:05:04 PM
1. Sorry, I have no idea.
2. You take the .rel of the stage the hacked stage is on (if the stage goes over Final Destination, use an fd .rel) and modify it. I believe there's a program floating around somewhere that simplifies the process to like, 3 clicks.
3. All codes go in your RSBE01.gct file. That file contains all of your Brawl related codes. If you have a gct you like already, then download gct edit (should be on the vault under resources) and use that to paste any new codes into your old gct (but make a backup first, just in case).

Hope that helps!

Oh wondrous, wise, and immensely talented shock44, please import both Strong Bad and Homestar Runner! I guess if I had to choose only one I'd go with Strong Bad (since, you know, he has arms), but having both in Brawl would be absolutely dope. You'd totally deserve a trophy for that. Or at least a pizza. Maybe a pizza trophy.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe you can do that. I think it's kind of hard coded into those stages.
9  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: change items effects on: November 07, 2011, 07:55:20 PM
It is absolutely possible! Unfortunately, I haven't the slightest idea how it is done, so I can't really help you there. I know there were some item PSAs on the BrawlVault. Maybe you could try to reverse engineer one and go from there.
10  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: DSX8 Stage/Character DAE Imports! Wes and Lightning Released! 11/01 on: November 01, 2011, 09:42:44 AM
Lightning looks amazing! Can't wait 'till Mediafire is working again so I can download her. I look forward to seeing which character you do next. I've got my fingers crossed for FFX Tidus over Ike.

lol hey sweet it worked there's a few glitches though.  some moves she goes to the T-formation again and it's bowser colored slash attack around her and some moves i try she goes into the ground..hmm XD
As I said, there will be glitches and T-poses since Nel is an import. You'll just have to live with them until they're removed in a later version.

Glad I could help!

The Common4.pac goes in private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\system, not the koopa folder. Sounds like you did good other than that. Also since you're using Riivolution, you may have to rename Common4.pac to Common4_en.pac (I don't really remember).
13  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Zitz From BattleToads...FOR THE THRID TIME! (PERMISSION GRANTED BY AAFYRE!) on: May 01, 2011, 05:20:00 PM
A potential beta? Yay! I doubt a could really help, unless you need recolors, 'cause all I'm any kind of descent at is recolors and psa. I've already been working on a psa project myself, so I won't be able to help you with that either. Sounds like you've got that covered anyway. Thanks for the offer though!
14  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Freezing for no reason on: May 01, 2011, 04:46:16 PM
Stages also freeze the select screen so i'd leave that as last resort.
True, but everything besides the exploit that I can think of causes an instant freeze, not a delayed one.

What type of textures are you adding?
He's not talking about custom stages made with brawl's stage editor. He's talking about something brawl mode stage select screen Mario Facepalm
Yeah, I know. As I said I had a problem that sounds identical, and I'm just suggesting he do what fixed it for me.

You still might want to wipe the folder, just to be safe, as if you've ever used an installer or a pack it may have put an exploit on your card. Just backup all the files to a different locations first (so you don't lose any custom stages).
