1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Sound Error with Resources on: March 17, 2016, 05:48:11 PM
Brawl Vault has all FitChar.pac's as resources. When I download them and test them out. The sounds are screwed up on all the characters. Does anyone know if there are other places to get the FitChar.pac's or what the problem may be???

I got the clones working fine now.The only problem I come across now is that the custom gct codes work except for the phantom wings hitstun code. The code works with everyone except for the brawlex characters. Does anyone know what could be causing this and if there is a different code I should be using for hitstun with brawlex characters?

DO NOT USE THE CLONE TOOL, IT WILL CAUSE CRASHES!


Add them in manually, it's just as easy, and allows for much better control than what that tool could ever offer. The clone tool, even before it broke, had some specific issues, especially when modifying hex values after you added them in with the tool. the tool fixes it, and then breaks the clone. and then causes crashes.

just learn how to do it manually, there are tutorials on it, don't use the quick and dirty method, it revolves the clone tool. It's real easy, and takes like 3 minutes to add a clone without the cosmetic data.
Ive been looking for tutorials online. The only one I found was the brawl clone engine tutorial from sammi huski. Should I use the phantom wings brawl clone engine to manually add a clone or is there a different way that you are reffering to.

So Ive been trying to use the brawl ex clone tool for some time now. Ive followed sammi husky's tutorial about 8 times and still I keep getting the same problem. The game crashes at the loading screen which is due to the common2.pac and common3.pac. Whenever I remove them, the game doesnt crash upon the first loading screen.

I downloaded the CSS expansion and Brawl Clone Engine from here. So I dont think the pac files are outdated. I have no clue what is causing this to crash. But its starting to make me want to punch my pc screen lol. Any advice or inputs would be gladly appreciated

ok, I might be able to put something together by this or the next weekend [v1.1.0], but I will not change the moves/attacks themselves, only their properties. and the auto sweetspot will stay.........but yea, I will try to make something.

Those were just changes I made. It was pretty fun to make.

Yeh those were just changes that I made. Me and my bro play it alot. It's actually really fun. I downloaded this because reality 64 project was not making progress. Then I just started modding it to make it like an updated smash 64.

-Combo up air trajectory sends opponents up on some joints and away on others.
-Weight increased
-Up Special knockback increased
-Dthrow trajectory changed to be more upward
-All around combo game changed to mirror smash 64

Mario
-Added lag on upsmash and strength increased to match smash 64.
-Fair Changed to be his fair from smash 64
-Dair Changed to be his dair from smash 64
-Down Special changed to tornado spin from smash 64
-Up Special Increased
-Weight increased
-Jump height increased

Dk
-Down Special speed increased and lag increased

Gannondorf
-Jab speed increased and reduced lag
-Down special used for recover
-Reduced lag on fair
-Run animation changed to his melee

Zero Suit Samus
-No spawning with armor pieces

-Final Destion- Final Destination 64
-Jungle Japes - Kongo Jungle 64
-Mario Circuit - Bowsers Castle

Menu Changes
-Background in menus to be outter space looking down towards the earth

inside the codes folder there are 2 .gct files, the one by default is only SD, but the other one is SDHC, just delete the original, and change the name of the SDHC to RSBE01.gct

there is a glitch where sometimes after being hit, characters can air dodge. Ive been modding this mod quite heavily. I love what you've done with the engine.
