1  Help & Tutorials / Help / How to put a transforming stage (uses STGEMBLEM files) in a custom stage slot? on: July 07, 2014, 07:54:59 PM
Hello everyone!

I use the stage expansion code and I wanted to add this stage to my game, but I don't want to replace Castle Siege. The stage provides files that I can use over others stages, but I want the transforming version, and for that only Castle Siege would work (I think).

I want to put this stage in a custom stage slot, the problem is that it uses many files (STGEMBLEM.pac, STGEMBLEM_00.pac, STGEMBLEM_01.pac and STGEMBLEM_02.pac). This wont be a problem if I were to replace Castle Siege, but over a custom stage I haven't been able to get it to work in the past.

Anyone knows how can I do it?

If anyone is interested, there is a tool created by Mewtwo2000 that lets you to alternate between stages that use the same .rel file just like Mushroomy Kingdom has 2 alternate versions, I could do that, I guess, but I would like to use a custom stage slot instead.

Thanks for your help!

3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Help editing character model, on: July 02, 2014, 08:45:12 PM
Hello!!

I wanted to edit the model of Toon Link, a very simple editing actually, I just wanted to remove the nose, that's it. I exported the obj polygon file with the nose, and "removed it" with Blender, I don't use blender often, but it was rather easy, I guess.

But! when I open the Toon Link .pac file, and try to replace it I get an error

https://www.dropbox.com/s/921mr2lpvbb6g98/Unhandled%20Error.png

When I click "details" I get

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Then I tried replacing it with the original file (the one I exported) and I get the same error, so I don't believe its a problem with the file itself (I think)

It says there is not enough memory, I did some research and it may be the RAM, I have only 4GB, but I am not using much of it, I tried restarting my computer, but its no use.

I have tried other methods to edit the model, but I have been unable to do it.

Can someone helo me to edit this? (remember, just removing Toon Link nose), you can help me with the error I get, or with a method to edit this, or ultimately maybe if its not a big problem you can make it for me haha (I am not requesting it, but would be nice, even thought it would be more useful to know how to do it myself).

So, thanks for reading my post and I thank you in advance for any kind of help you can give me. See you later!

4  Help & Tutorials / Help / Using vBrawl CPU A.I. with Project M? on: June 28, 2014, 08:29:46 PM
**Skip to the bold part if you dont care for my unnecessary "introduction"**

Hello everyone!

I bet most of us know about the Project M (if you don't know it I suggest you to check it out!... just "google it"), one of the best mods (if not the best, but I want to leave it open to anyone's opinion).

But... I don't play Project M (I am building my own version of vBrawl with the great work done by other people), something that keeps me from just using PM is that I don't really play a lot of PM it with other people, and PM is more of a competitive mod (read that as "with others"). But PM team is so professional that they even work on their own A.I. for the CPU, improving it and making it more competitive.

Modding A.I. like that isn't certainly an easy job, an they are doing great. But there is job to do, they know it, I understand it, but! something that really bothers me when playing with the CPU, its that they have some suicide tendencies, they self destruct often, and I am sure the PM team is aware of that and they are using they great skills making it even better, and I have faith they can success.

But for now, I am here wondering if I can use the vBrawl A.I. in PM instead of their hard worked A.I., maybe it wont work well, maybe all the changes from vBrawl to PM would make them unusable, or they would self destruct even more, but I am eager to discover it, and I would if I knew how to do it.

I want to try the regular vBrawl A.I. with Proyect M, but I lack the necessary hacking knowledge to do it, I don't know which files are used for this and I failed to find something about it, can you help me?

thanks a lot for your help! I appreciate it, see you later!

Ok, I understand, I was afraid it would be like that, oh well, not big deal I guess

thank you for replying again!

Unfortunately, so far this is impossible.

Thank you for replying to my question, Kitsu-chan!

I see, I readed something like that somewhere, but I wasn't sure if it was right or if it was up to date. Oh well, I guess that make my work easier, its not like it was that important I suppose, but it would have been great.

I was hoping it could be done mainly because of project M, I haven't played project M in a while, and I am not even sure if its true, but I think you cant copy Mewtwo and Marth with Kirby, am I wrong? I know the code used for project M isn't exactly public knowledge, but anyone knows how do they that?

One more question, as usual, my Mewtwo and Roy are clones from Lucario and Roy respectively, maybe I cant add Kirby transformations, but can you make it transform into other Kirby in the game? for example, if Kirby absorbs Roy, it turns into Marth Kirby, or something like that.

Thanks!
7  Help & Tutorials / Help / Kirby Hats with BrawlEx on: June 28, 2014, 01:32:48 AM
Hello

I have been searching for information in this topic for a while, but I failed to find barely anything (maybe I am just bad at searching). Anyway, I want to ask for some help, I want to have Roy and Mewtwo in my game, i used BrawlEx and I was able to get both characters working pretty well in my game, but its not complete, I want to add, if possible, Kirby "hats" or however it its called for both. I already got the files for this (I think), but cant seem to get it to work.

Without the files, Kirby stays normal when trying to absorb their power. I used the BrawlEx Config Utility so they can have their powers copied by Kirby, they still seem to work, when I select Kirby it goes into a "soft" crash (I can use the home menu, I can turn off my Wii normally, etc), my guess is that the game cant find the necessary files.

I tried to use the vBrawl files for the cloned character and changing the name to the character I am using, but this time my game froze.

Sorry, I am aware that my post isn't great, but I hope someone can help me to understand how I can get Kirby abilities to work with the cloned characters.

I thank you in advance for reading this topic, I appreciate any kind of help.
