1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Mewtwo2000's [Get the Black Alive Rayquaza Stage while it's up!] (03 sept 2010)] on: September 06, 2010, 01:14:08 PM
I have a minor problem with Saffron City. I have it ported over Flat Zone 2, because Flat Zone 2 is a terrible level and Saffron City is far less terrible, and I'm using an FD-based .rel. The stage itself works perfectly fine, but the characters are all flat! I thought that changing the .rel file let you have fully 3D stages over FZ2 and Hanenbow?

Chuy: Thanks a bunch, that worked like a charm!

I have a request/question. I've been toying around with stage replacement - and without a doubt, yours are excellent! - but I'm a little stuck.

I've got the basic stage expansion up and running, which is great, but I've got that mostly filled with SSE stages (since they work nicely with Battlefield's music)... I'm trying to put Fourside over New Pork City and Mushroom Kingdom 64 over 75m.

Fourside works nicely and does what just what you said it does - it works without crashing, but there's the problem that the "chimera" spawns (at least, the screen gets dark and there's a lot of bitey noises). I assumed that "get a Final Destination .rel" meant "durrrr I should take FD's .rel and rename it for newpork, that will TOTALLY work" and not surprisingly I got the beep of death.

MK64-into-75m was even more terrible; it was like trying to jam a square peg into a round hole, and by that I mean "I renamed it to go in DONKEY and then I got the beep of death and then I gave up."

I don't know BrawlBox from a hole in the ground, so I have no idea where to even start to make this work... but if you give me some pointers I would be more than willing to try and do it myself! Or you could just do your wizardry and fix the files themselves and then post them for me instead of trying to beat instructions into my dumb head :V

Also... You wouldn't off the top of your head know where the textures for stage images/icons/names/game-of-origin logos are located, would you? At the very least I think I could handle editing THAT myself without crashing anything!
