Alright, here's what I got so far on the stage, included Green Greens to act as a size comparison of it so far.
That part in the middle there, I'm planning on the front of it to turn invisible when characters walk through there. But if it doesn't work then oh well, that sucks.
Ugh, even after it's gone that [censored] storm managed to screw me over. The power just happened to go out again right after I saved my progress and therefore corrupted the file and ruined the stage in Max.
So I'm behind again, but thankfully Return to Dreamland stages are build-it-yourself and come with all the level pieces as a single model brres. It won't take too long to get back to where I was before... again...
I wouldn't say it's a unique lighting since I edited it a bit from Frigate Orpheon. I figured a dark lit Battlefield would be fine since that's how it was in 64 and Melee. Regardless, glad you guys like it.
The poll's pretty close so far, though it'll still be yet a while since I've only gotten the stage layout for Cookie Country done. (Would have had more but the snowstorm said '[censored] THAT'!)
Stage is finished, uploading a video before I post it up on BrawlVault. Kirby stage won the poll so my next stage will be Cookie Country from Return to Dreamland. Now there's a new poll, choose the stage you want to see after the next one is done.
EDIT: Done and up, the video will be added to the first post soon, but you guys can get the stage now.
Zelda and Kirby are pretty close. I already have an idea for a Kirby stage, not so much with Zelda since I really don't want to be generic and make a Skyloft stage.
As for Next Battlefield, I should hopefully have it released this week. It's done, just need to get the right lighting.
EDIT: Welp, got it, just need some tweaks and a video before release time.
The idea I had in mind for this stage is that it's a kind of a midair arena attached to some airship. The main stage itself will slowly descend down that tunnel there until it reaches the position in the first pic. I may end up downsizing the tunnel, since it is kind of big.
I've (hopefully) worked out the transparency stuff, next would be the lighting which will be in fact at night.
The new Battlefield will start off up in that tunnel and slowly descend out into the more open area below. The stage borders or collisions won't be any different, it's just for aesthetics. You'd be surprised what you can make by flipping a model upside down!
