2  Help & Tutorials / Help / New Computer and nothing works on: July 10, 2011, 03:56:12 PM
I switched to a new laptop with windows 7 and nothing (brawl box, psa, etc.) will open, error window says program stopped working and closes. is this due to windows 7 (everything worked fine on vista)? if so is there anything I can do? by the way, I tried to re-download brawl box to see if that would fix it and brawl box has been removed from mediafire due to violation or some crap like that. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Riivolution Not Taking .GCT codes! on: April 22, 2011, 08:57:18 PM
I'm having a similar problem; I've downloaded and am using Drakemaster's Multiboot XML, and:
1. I now don't know where to put the .gct and...
2. which "hook" am I supposed to use, ( it could be that the .gct is in the wrong place, but every hook I set it on causes Riivo to not load the game)
if anyone can help me, please speak up, thanks
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Complete SSE revamp, New adventure on: April 22, 2011, 05:42:21 PM
Noted, I'm going to work on the large scale project first and from there I can probably make a mod of a mod, and thus the mario SSE you want, and if you know how can you please move this to the On-topic Section, thanks, once it's moved I'll post the current cast of Characters and other things thus far

Believe me I know, this will be my greatest Brawl endeavor. , I plan to modify the credits to include the people who contribute to this in any way, and thanks for the advice, you'll find this in the topic section from this point onward. I'll happily welcome any suggestions in these areas at least:
Storyline/ and plot
Stages
Boss fight Ideas
New GSEs (Game-Specific Enemies (Goombas, Koopas, etc.) As we will be using characters from new games
New Subspace Army Enemies
Some more Characters (Hack set isn't quite filled yet, You can also e-mail/ PM me with the storyline for a character so we have some background knowledge. Completely made up characters can be added in as extra characters (like wolf, toon link, jigglypuff, and I think ther's one more (anyway characters obtainable for SSE after beating the main story)
New Items: (This is to be a complete makeover for Brawl: (If Anyone plays around with Item Pacs and finds a cool effect: post it!)
Anything you think might be cool or interesting:)
By the way I don't know how to move a topic, please help
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Complete SSE revamp, New adventure on: April 22, 2011, 12:26:32 PM
I don't know where else to put this as there isn't a place for a hack of this scale (a complete Brawl revamp) My major goal is to create a second SSE adventure, with the Subspace armies attacking the fighter's original worlds (a Soul Calibur II - esque, storyline) complete with character hacks like Sephiroth, Cloud, and Kingdom Hearts Characters (full list of Characters I want for this grand scheme to follow at a later date)
The storyline is open for suggestions, such as different different THP clips for cutscenes, etc. I'd also like to add the Smash Ball or Final Smash system into the adventure in some way, (I've envisioned using a part when you first encounter Metal Sonic (as a villain) where it uses the Transformation cutscene from Sonic Heroes then fighting a killable metal madness (see attacks and animation requests for info on that) Anyone who can help me on this epic (at least I think so) plan please PM me, alas my hacking skills are severly limited so (as of writing this) I have naught to offer but ideas and Beta testing, If this is ever accomplished and made I will use Wii Scrubber to directly patch a copy of my Brawl Iso and put this "Brawl Sequel" as it were up for download, (p.s. sorry for posting this here, and does anyone know how to keep my post entry box from scrolling up as I type?)
7  Help & Tutorials / Help / SmashBrosLauncher XML Help? ocarina codes with Drakemaster's multiboot? on: April 22, 2011, 12:02:11 PM
I'm using the SmashBrosLauncher XML (with custom 1, 2, and 3 thing for different hack sets) and I want to use PW's Stage expansion codes (or other ocarina codes for that matter) but with the custom XML I don't know where to put the .gct file (RSBE01) and also the different hooks have me comepletely flustered: can anyone tell where to put the file and what hook to use? anyone? please?
8  Help & Tutorials / Help / Backup/NeoGamma R8 Final Help? on: April 22, 2011, 11:54:46 AM
I've Finally acquired a Brawl iso (for backup purposes and such) does anyone know how exactly I have to burn it to disk for Neo Gamma (or another backup launcher) to read it, here's what I'd like to know:
1. what settings for burning with Windows Vista
2. if it will work as is (.iso) or if it needs to be .bin and .cue, and how to make it as such if so
3. if after burning it is it safe to put back into vista disk drive (for scrubbing and viewing Directory tree layout)
4. if Neo Gamma's Search patches will serve the same purpose as Riivolution, where to put the xml I'm using if so (SmashBrosLauncher or something like that, with the custom 1, 2, and 3 options for different patch sets)

Any help that anyone can offer will be accepted graciously and with grattitude, thanks

10  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Riivolution Partial-problem? on: April 20, 2011, 02:23:02 PM
Thanks, it's only once in a while, I found that if I wait for it to fully read the disk before starting Riivo, it'll usual play, The drive makes a sort of low-pitched double beep sound when the disk is fully recognized, wait for that and it'll play.
11  Help & Tutorials / Help / Riivolution Partial-problem? on: April 19, 2011, 08:31:59 PM
I don't if this problem has been post before but: once in a while (more often than not, actually) Riivolution says insert disc as though it can't read it, If I go back to the Home Menu; the disc channel can't recognize the disc either, however if I keep loading and exiting Riivolution it eventually reads it, sort of hit and miss. Anyone know what's causing this and/or a way to fix it, (my guess is something to do with a cIOS or something. as it won't read DVD movies anymore either)
12  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Stage hack Noob question on: April 19, 2011, 08:10:17 PM
I'm just starting to realize that, and I'll test the stage patch, thanks.
13  Help & Tutorials / Help / Stage hack Noob question on: April 19, 2011, 08:03:12 PM
I finally got my hands on a Brawl iso (can't afford Mediafire Pro) and so I'm about to try applying my first stage hack, here's my question: in the stage directory (SD:\private\wii\apps\RSBE\pf\stage\melee\) in order to apply a patch, do I have to have the original .pacs for the stages I'm not going to modify, so Riivolution can follow the XML? or will it work without?
14  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Time Manipulation? on: March 30, 2011, 02:16:28 PM
Thanks, also, just speculting here: I've noticed that Parameter 1 is always two values separated by a dash the first number could be strength and the second value could be duration, or vice versa, who knows?
15  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Kirby Hat Hacking? on: March 27, 2011, 04:11:48 PM
Thanks, I'll test try them both, out of curiosity; does Brawl Box allow for moveset hacking? If so: how?
