61  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: [Official] Project M discussion: Turbo Tuesday Finale on: November 05, 2013, 05:35:31 PM
Okay. I'm going to bite on those two alts you just showed.

Why Melee Fox and OoT Link? Why not any other iterations? Like Adventures or Assault, or hell, SNES Fox for example? Why not do Fierce Deity, or even LoZ1 Link?

Why both of the ones that were in Melee? Why are they so important?

Because Melee. ¦D

Oh wait, this isn't Smashboards. No ones gonna get that joke. XD

My laptop's keyboard derped out on me in this report. -~-

Can someone change it to "Don't add someone else's PSAs in your submissions without permission." for me?

those look even worse, im talking about mewtwo's real appearance, his portrait in melee was aweful xD

Even in Mewtwo's current and recent designs in the Pokemon games, those are smaller now. It's been changed for a long time.

Just get used to it. It's better this way anyway. How was Mewtwo supposed to hold anything like the sandwiches Mew should be making him? :<
64  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: [Official] Project M discussion: Challenger Approaching! on: October 13, 2013, 09:43:47 PM
Yo yo dudebro dawg, I ain't feelin' ya.
#YOLO

Are you doing an impression of SwingSet, your Will Smith avy, or Italian? I can't tell at this point, but either way, it's hilarious. XD

Anyways, color me hyped. It's stated that they STILL have more surprises to show for 3.0, so I'm curious as to what else is gonna be shown before Winter. I can't friggin wait for it all. =D

YES.
66  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Project M- Roy announced for Demo 3.0/Clone engine is operational! on: September 29, 2013, 03:59:23 AM
What.
Did the P:M team recently receive the visit of a Nintendo official who told them they were doing a cool job?

I understand that there's no point attracting the attention of 3rd parties, but I doubt adding Nintendo characters that haven't already been licensed would change anything.  Undecided
If they want to shut down the project, they will. They won't go "Oh hey, they were nice enough to care about licensing issues within our own brand. I guess we'll completely forget about that whole hacking the console and the game thing."

I agree with this post so strongly and tried to state the same thing at Smashboards in a different topic, but everyone is too damn paranoid to think straight.

They should just take the chances and try to get away with as much as possible until it actually looks like they have to back it up a bit. THEN they can worry.

Well the Roy render Pik and SDoom put together is pretty legit. But of course I'll be making my own pose for him eventually Tongue

I was hoping that was the case. XD Thought true, I do think that render is pretty sweet. ¦3

Also, on the topic of CSPs...While everyone else seemed to think Link's was a bit odd, I actually think Ike is kind of the odd one out. In his CSPs and his CSS icon, he seems rather small compared to the rest of the cast while they're all around the same size. o_o
68  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Re: SJS CSPs - Sparkly New Zelda and Pointy New Ganondorf on: September 21, 2013, 02:21:54 PM
I disagree, I wouldn't like my work to be tied to one thing like that. But P:M probably already has their own new thing planned for CSPs, so there's that. Haha.

But whatever they have planned won't be NEARLY as good! D:

Love that new Link so far, by the way. <3

So, out of curiosity, will you do CSPs for that new Roy for everyone once it comes out in the next millennia? ¦D
69  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Project M- Roy announced for Project M! on: September 19, 2013, 12:42:29 AM
Are you trying to turn Dantarion into Xehanort? ¦D;

Anywho, hyped for Roy. Hyped for the Clone Engine. Hyped for other possible characters. (Only one in particular that I want) Hyped for 3.0. ¦3

You've downloaded the latest CSP pack, right? Try playing Classic Mode.

As for the other stuff, I did plan on replacing other things eventually.

I just gave it a shot. Nicely done, SJS. It just gives such a great and fresh feeling to it all. XD

It's moments like these where the importance and the overall effect of aesthetics really shows.
71  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Re: SJS CSPs - Sparkly New Zelda and Pointy New Ganondorf on: September 16, 2013, 02:49:11 PM
Just throwing a third opinion in there, but Shun_One is right. The CSPs are working just fine in P:M. Having no issues at all. :3

By the way, has the thought of replacing the other renders of the characters in different part of the games with these come to mind for you too? Like the ones that pop up in Classic Mode or All-Star and so on? Or is that a bit too much? XD
72  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Re: SJS CSPs - Sparkly New Zelda and Pointy New Ganondorf on: September 15, 2013, 07:38:15 PM
Every character (except Ness and Jigglypuff) is final now. Might go back and touch up a few characters like DK, Link, or Mario, but it won't be anything major. Something along the lines of the Pit and Olimar updates. And I've hardly started over repeatedly, that's nothing but hyperbole. Every update I've done for a character was to improve aesthetics. Zelda's pose was ancient and did not look good compared the the rest of the cast, and Ganondorf was posed awkwardly. It felt it was overdue for them, really. Never really thought about what other people thought of all these revisions.

But I guess the answer to your question is soon-ish. Because I probably won't be doing all this a year from now.

Eh, I will admit that I did exaggerate a bit. I didn't mean to make it sound like you've restarted a billion times or anything, nor do I mean to say that the updates you've done have been miniscule or hardly noticeable. That's far from what I'm thinking as I've enjoyed all of them. These two most recent ones included. Zelda's looks majestic and absolutely beautiful while Ganon looks absolutely threatening and empowering. If that's what you were going for, you hit it spot on.

So yeah, sorry if I caused a misunderstanding in that regard. I'm glad to hear that it all will be finished and finalized sometime soon, though. I've been looking forward to the day that P:M is finished too and I could use all of these with it. If anything, I feel like P:M should have these CSPs as their defaults considering it helps give that new look and feel as a game that P:M's structure already has.

Thanks for your time. Looking forward to the next updates. :3

I won't speak for SJS, but this question does seem equivalent to asking an artist when they plan to stop drawing.

I AM an artist. That's exactly why I'm asking. XD

Not all artists are going to answer "never" or "when I die" like you're probably thinking. ¦D

The whole artistic mindset is cute and all, but I'm kinda looking forward to a CSP pack with an eventual end rather than one that comes close to being finished but then starts over again for the millionth time.

Doesn't anyone else want something that feels like a new standardized and official package?
74  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Re: SJS CSPs - Sparkly New Zelda and Pointy New Ganondorf on: September 14, 2013, 11:43:56 PM
You know, I'm gonna be that guy. Mainly cause no one else ever seems to ask this.

Exactly when do you plan on being finished with these and stopping? XD

Seriously, it's like just when a whole set seems like it's going to be finished, full and complete, you end up switching things up yet again and starting all over again and again and again. It gets kinda tedious to update every single time, hoping that this'll be the definitive  and finalized version of the CSP pack only for it all to start over again. ¦D

I love the work you put into these, but I'm starting to see no end for them in sight so I had to ask to sate my curiosity. Is there a finish line for this with the main characters/CSPs at the least? o.o
75  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Re: SJS CSPs - ZSS and Ice Climbers on: August 26, 2013, 11:40:15 PM
Just wondering, is there going to be another update for the pack of your CSPs, CSS icons and Battle Portraits for P:M? ZSS is the only one who doesn't have her newest pics.

I wanted to update it myself, but she doesn't have a CSS icon or ay Battle Portraits for the newest ones. I could make one myself easily, but it'd just feel like an unofficial temporary fix, and my OCD just can't have that. XD

But yeah, just asking.
