91  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [Wario Fixed] [Riivo Kit] on: June 01, 2013, 11:40:55 PM
I may have some solutions. I have a lot of experience with customizing the PM codes since I'm a member myself, and I have a very customized version of PM that I use for myself.

First of all, tell me EXACTLY what was changed. I don't wanna go read through all the pages.

1. What codes did you change around?

2. Did you edit or change .rels at all?

I get that type if freeze if I do any of the above.

Sometimes I get that freeze randomly. If I defragment my SD card, it usually fixes it. So I would try that also.

I'm going to try to find a way to help you guys out and get this working with 2.5b.

If this is what a lot of people want, we should start a new thread for it

"All the pages"? The answer to the question you just asked was 2 posts below the post you quoted, as well as up higher on THIS page.

Okay, even NORMAL outfits are freezing now. What's wrong with this friggin code?

All the outfits load just fine, but no matter what I did, the game ALWAYS freezes everytime the game tries to say "GO!" at the beginning of the match, and changing the info.pac in the info2 folder doesn't help either. Even using the vanilla file for it doesn't help. No matter what I do it just keeps freezing again and again and again. It's the only problem I'm having now and I wasn't having it until I got Taiko's gct, since he's the ONLY person who has been able to get this working with P:M.

Seriously, I'm fresh out of patience. What the hell is wrong with this thing? No instructions are helping and repeating them over isn't going to magically help us either. No, defragging doesn't help either. It's not a magical "fix everything" button and I did give it a shot.

I'm starting to think that this just won't work right with P:M unless someone from thee takes a look at it, but seeing as it keeps getting ignored whenever it's brought up in their Social Thread, I don't think the PMBR is even interested in cBliss, so that's probably not happening either.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/zxehz4fuc1gq21m/Project%20M.txt

This is my text file here for P:M with the cBliss stuff added after getting rid of the lines you specified and after modifying the ones for the Pokemon characters.

No matter what I do, the match loads up just fine and so do the extra textures, but the second the announcer tries to say "GO!" the game locks up and freezes.

I've tested the files outside of P:M and everything works fine. It's something about the GCT, and I followed everything you said to a tee and did it several times and even used Taiko's gct and it STILL did the same thing, which makes me think there's a bit of an error in what you told us to do.

So if you could, please actually test things out in P:M yourself in order to find out what works, could you?

If that's not enough, just look at the list of things ASF1nk said to do to begin with, because that's exactly what I did and nothing more as far as the codeset goes.

To recap.

"It does work on PM or whatever mod you want to use, just gotta know how to GCT Edit. Which most people here fail miserably at.

Anyways Marth works he will just use FitMarth03.pac as blue team, not the purple one or whatever it currently is.

Chard, Squirtle, and Ivy my guess is they have a code affecting them.

Here are the original Costume offset for said characters.
0x80455620 804553AC Charizard
0x80455630 804553B8 Squirtle
0x80455640 804553C4 Ivysaur

First column is memory address second is the value at that address.

So using the search feature on your text file
search for 804553AC [chard], and replace with 80455334
search for 804553B8 [squirt], and replace with 80455334
search for 804553C4 [Ivy], and replace with 80455334

I know what the problem is.
I had no idea they were editing the Wario costumes, but turns out they are.
Here is Wario's default costume offset.

Wario Costume color offset
0x80455334 05000001
0x80455338 02050302
0x8045533c 08040103
0x80455340 02060007
0x80455344 01090308
0x80455348 070A090B
0x8045534c 0C000000

Search for the values in the first column with out the first 80.
If any match delete the whole line.
For example you will search first for 455334.
then 455338, etc."

That should really be it for PM.

And like I said, I've tested the files outside of P:M and they all work just fine, including the modified menus. The problem clearly lies with the parts ASF said to modify.

You know, this has been bothering me for awhile.

ASF1nk, have you actually tested cBliss in P:M for yourself? Like done everything you've said and repeated (several times) for it to work and actually gotten it to work? Or are you just telling us what "should" work with nothing but your word to back it up?

And if you have tested it and gotten it to work...Then why haven't you just uploaded those files and pasted a link here to make things easier for everyone?

Now I just tried it for Sonic. Both my 03 and 06 Sonics load up just fine, but as soon as it's about to say "GO", it freezes.

Maybe there's something else wrong elsewhere.
96  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [Wario Fixed] [Riivo Kit] on: June 01, 2013, 07:10:54 PM
Well the good news is that it loaded the outfits perfectly and worked.

The bad news is, it froze when the match started. Fox and Game & Watch appeared just fine, but froze right after that. After G&W came in, to be exact. Just as it was about to say "GO!".

Anyone else having this problem?
97  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: Nanobud's Sanctuary: Purple Kitty on: June 01, 2013, 02:53:22 PM
Yeah, I talked to Kyle once and he even stated that he had done the voice work for him, but things just ended up getting cut from the game. A LOT of things.

Also, I saw the thread title and was expecting Blaze. I'm disappointed. XD
98  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [Wario Fixed] [Riivo Kit] on: June 01, 2013, 07:54:24 AM
Yeah, you're right.

You are completely misunderstanding the problem here. Also, it's not that the PMBR doesn't want anyone customizing anything, it's just that things are still unstable with them still doing demos and not going "Gold" just yet, which is why they've stated they wouldn't be giving out text files of any sort until that was no longer the issue.

Besides, I don't see why we shouldn't try to use mods with mods, as that's what we're always doing anyways. That never stopped anyone who played Brawl+, Brawl-, Balanced Brawl, and of course there's still vBrawl in general.

But yes, you're misreading. He's stated that this works just fine with P:M. None of us seem to be able to get it to work despite what he's said to do, however, aside from one person who I'm hoping will come back on and just plain share his files to make our lives easier. I'm asking "How does this work?" not "Make this work NOW!".

More to the point, my problem is with his attitude in his posts when people are trying to understand what to do. Not just those of us using P:M, but everyone in general. He's really not being that patient or considerate with anyone by going "You shouldn't even try if you don't know what you're doing" or other things that could discourage people from trying to learn how this confusing thing works.

And about that last part...Are you serious? I can't believe you even suggested that. You KNOW that's not gonna work. XD
99  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [Wario Fixed] [Riivo Kit] on: June 01, 2013, 05:53:39 AM
Already edited that into my last post, but thanks.

Now if I can just get this working right with P:M. I did everything I needed to do to edit the GCT, but instead of loading the alt Fox outfits that came with cBliss, it loaded the default Fox in all the new slots. G&W's new colors worked correctly, though.

So I've finally made that bat to be used with WIT.

Here's a vault entry with the bat files and all the info in the descryption:

http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=32279

In short, WIT can quickly extract all the files inside a Brawl image file (iso, ciso, wbfs...) and put them all in folders. You can edit the files in those folders normally, and then write a new image file with the changes. I've included a bat that clones all the 00 characters into the not existing ones from 00 to 09 except for Wario and Game & Watch. It also clones the PT Final smash and Peach Entries. If you do that, you don't have to worry about not having certain costume in the sd card and the game freezing because of that. In fact, that same thing can be done for the stage expansion, you can add the needed .rel and .pac files so you don't get freezes when using the ASL with custom stage slots.

So well, hope this helps people and stuff.

This isn't working for me. When I type in the name of the folder I extracted my iso to for the CopyCharFiles batch, it keeps saying it can't find the path at all. I even tried doing a more detailed and literal path and it still couldn't find it. What gives?

I just have the folder named "Brawl" inside of bin.

Edit: So thanks to my buddy dRape, we found out there's a little mistake in your CopyCharFiles batch. The batch actually has to be inside made from the extraction rather than the bin folder where the other ones are.

If the was intentional, then it sure wasn't explained too well. >>

I can also see many of you are using GCT Edit, why you don't have the original text files for your codes is beyond me, but you should really learn how to GCT Edit.

Okay, I have to be honest. This line here and a few others you've said bother me a lot.

You know, a good number of us are trying to do this for P:M and in case you didn't know, that doesn't come with a .txt file with all of the codes. You're really coming off as rather condescending with a lot of your remarks, to be honest. Is it too much to ask for you to explain a bit more calmly instead of talking to us as if we were ignorant children? Because maybe it's just be, but it sounds like you don't really want to help us from your tone and attitude.

We're thankful for this and everything. We just all want to figure out what we're doing wrong or possibly missing. Be a little more patient.

If you can get this fully working with Project: M, my faith and devotion to you will be everlasting and endless. D:

I'm gonna have to take that back. That moveset and a different one I have both need tweaking. XD;

Perhaps somebody will make a newer, more polished version.

Either way, the outfit is still awesome. :3

I'd just like to thank everybody in here for suggesting Dropbox. I've finally got ALL of my hacks re-uploaded safe and sound. XD

Though I'll probably switch over to Solidfiles for any newer stuff or once I run out of space. ¦D

Here's a fix for Project M.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/39qi4558h4c6d3x/Generations%20Sonic%20%28Project%20M%20Fix%29.rar

Not only do the outfits have their sizes reduced by half, but the Fitmotionetc file has the textures for the spring reduced, which is required as the game will freeze if you use the spring without doing so.

So yeah, add this to your download as an option for P:M players like myself and others. :3
