Rip, I knew something was off. Should be an easy fix, I think.
Supposedly 3ds version can import models now. I think a couple of people are going to be testing that out soon.
Using public resources should yield a few results. The smallest issue is finding a proper .smd importer/exporter for a modeling program. Perhaps Blender or 3DS Max. The latter is ffy for me as that never worked. Now, the largest issue is getting an imported model to load textures. I've yet to go deep into researching such, but I digress as this is for Wii U development :T
Oh, btw Nano. If you're going to complete accuracy, Shadow's red/black cloth that his rings rap around aren't reflective. they're more like his gloves. If intentional or not, it still fits.
Which means custom expressions and using Sm4sh Sonic's as a base. I'll also work on changing his shoes as they lack depth. It's not staying true to the source model, but it'll make him feel more like a character than an assist trophy.
Now THAT ladies and gentleman, is how you do a specular map.
Right? It's like Brawl Falcon. He has some nice spec maps.

Guess this is a Shadow week, huh? I've been working on revamping my Shadow. Eye reflections, better eye textures, spec maps, better shoe shine, and most notably, better fitting side mouth expressions. Leaving him with Brawl Sonic's expresions was not very Sm4sh-like.
Finally got back to work on this guy. Gave him a more Brawl-styled texture so he'd blend in more, and gave him Peepa for Pikmin. All that's left is in-game testing, but I can't do it because I don't have a working Wii.
You have my vote.

I've been more or less absent, but things like this are still being worked upon
Oh yeah...forgot to mention that you should avoid adding new materials in the latest BB. That causes weird mapping. Delete the messy materials and add them in v0.68d and it will be fine.
