Sooo Mega Charizard X (XY model)? Or a revamped Brawl one? Looks like a hybrid. I could be wrong and it's the XY with revamped textured. Anyways, noice! Glad to see some Lizardon love.
Welp, Cell freezes the game after selecting him on the CSS -_- file size issue i presume?
File size, texture size, materials, or even shaders. Judging by when it froze it may just be the file size. Compare it to the original character's .pac and/or .pcs
Yeah, the textures on them all right now are just what came with the models lol and @Gamidame_K: no big deal, I don't see myslef doing all of them anyway
I think i'll most likely try to retexture them. I also need some rigging help/pointers for this guy here:
I just got Maya after posting those other previews, and although the concept is easy, it's knowing what to rig that I need some assistance on. The trunks PSA over Ike (and many other PSAs) have it where certain parts of the model only appear when activated (ssj transformations in this case) I'm not sure what to rig the ssj hair to.
Rig it as you normally would the regular hair. It's not so much as what you rig it to but what the visibility bone is. In this case many for a certain expression or the common finals smash eyes visibility.
Bummer. More than half of these I'm willing to download.
I also have portraits for the mirage ike and a secondary with a white cape if anyone's interested.
Smash 4 made Brawl modding take a big hit. With the exception of back-porting and whatnot. DLC helps the model and PSA community and PM is becoming less relevant. I am still able to work on this as I have gotten better at texture manipulation. As far as this group goes... Well everyone left after a while. Quite a handful are already leaving Brawl modding behind. I choose not to because I like rigging and testing myself. Brawl by far is one of the hardest Wii games to rig models over due to rotations and number of bones.
I guess I can update a handful of the ones I've started.
I don't know what to think, honestly, I like modding, don't get me wrong, however, I inadvertently find myself comparing my works to others who make models from scratch (something I have a lot of respect for, because that is incredibly difficult to do). And all I do is rig models over existing animation skeletons; I don't do PSA hacks, I don't edit move sets, just vanilla character modding. Given the amount of time and effort people put in said hacks, mine look [censored]ty in comparison. That's how I feel, and it's proving to be very hard for me to try to come back into the groove after so long.
The biggest mistake you can make is comparing your work to others and let it affect you. Instead, use that admiration to become better at model importing. That is pretty much what 90% of my mods are, no matter the game. Textures and models are my personal favorite. I chose to look at the finer works and fine tune my own mods. Compare my 2012 stuff to things from 2015. Large difference in quality and effort. With patience and time, your work can look as great as you want it to. Look for your own approval, not the mass. Why? The mass is never fully satisfied. Work until you find the beauty of your mods. I went way off topic. Sorry. I would have messaged, but a quick general message is also good for those down times.
Yes, I am still active, however, work has been taxing on my time and by the time I get home, I am too tired to really work on mods. Anyway, to the main event.
