MK64N, so the problem is that the former belt section was used for the stomach section, and still bends when the legs do, even though it has been shifted up?

I'm just throwing stuff out there, but how about renaming the bones?  How important were the belt area vertices?  it might be better to just move the belt area back down to avoid the issue, just stretching the chest vertices more.  How does it differentiate between the leg section (bending) and the chest section (straight)?

Project Lightning looks really cool, I'm a sucker for any FF characters.  I've been holding off on testing it until MK64n puts up the model first, but I'll test it out soon (today or tomorrow) and try to give some comprehensive feedback.

Thanks, we really appreciate it!

ok after reopening the project I rediscovered the major flaw, which lead to the discontinuation.

basically when the character bends, this happens. the issue was caused from the drastic upward movement of the geometry. Ike's belt normally was alot lower. in the edit that who section moved up. and the lower part still thinks that it has to bend when the legs do. causing the inward effect on the edits stomach region.

due to that problem, the texturing was halted. as the model editing has to be the first thing, before editing the surface textures.

It'll take alot of man hours to try and devise some sort of work around to null the weights.
are you still interested in this project, or should I move on?

We are DEFINITELY still interested in this project, if you are willing to continue working on it. We really appreciate all your effort, we really do.

Okay, well, is the texture you'll be uploading any improvement to the original?

And we should talk about those Soul Calibur 2 files. It'd be nice to start another project from my favorite fighting series.

We're not releasing it until the actual texture itself is finished. Mariokart hasn't really been working on it.

Okay, I lied. I haven't had time to test it. But the one above me, I'm going to test as soon as I get my new contacts. I forgot to take them out last night and I can't find one of them. I hope it's not in my eye. . . ewwww.

Wow, a lot has happened! I'm going to test this myself tonight, and update with what I think is a keeper and what needs to be changed. Smiley

I'm really proud of you Sumire.

Oh my goodness. People.

When you port over a character, it's just OVER that character. She's not going to do anything related to Marth. She has her own battle stance and everything. She is going to be a fully new character. We're just in the very early stages of making her. Since I have school and a 40 hours a week part time job, and Sumire has started school, it's hard for us to work on her.

I understand you're interested in the project, but we have everything about porting/stances/and the moveset finished.

Her B moves WILL be:

B - Fire (Firaga)

Forward B - Thunder (Thundaga)

Up B - Aero (Aeroga)

Down B - Ruin (Ruinga)

Also, Zero Suit Samus is not involved in this project at all. Let's clear that up.

Why are we changing EVERYTHING? It's really, really frustrating. :/

Ugh, we need to stick to Ruin. I really like this idea. I don't like the idea of Quake.

Well, then why did you say that all the moves were the looking the same?

Um, Maybe, I'm not sure. I'd like to see what you have now. Could you upload a new beta, please?
