vWii and Wii shouldn't work any differently. When you put the same SD card back in the Wii it works fine? It should be reading your CSSRoster.dat fine, or else no one would show up on your CSS at all. I'd double check that file though for sure, since that's where BrawlEx finds which new fighters to put on the CSS.
I actually bought a 16GB SD card for my Wii U recently, so I moved everything from a backup I had to the new SD card.

As for running it on my Wii, I haven't tested it yet. Last time I used BrawlEx on my Wii, it worked fine on my 8GB SD card. I mean, all of my hacks work fine (music, CSPs, stage replacements, etc.) work fine in vWii (provided I use a dumped copy. The hacks wouldn't read with the disc, for some reason).

The reason why is because the website host of Sm4shmods (Mastaklo) has been wanting to make a profit off of Sm4sh modding (one sure sign is the use of ad.fly and the whole issue with his Shadow mod on the Vault).
I remember that incident. It was a whole [censored] storm in the Vault thread.

I'm temporarily MIA while job hunting, but I'm glad everyone can join in on the fun now. I'll read through the rest of the posts later, but like I mentioned a while ago, help will be needed to finish research and tools for everyone to use. Unless something has been released on gbatemp, the answer is currently "no" for "is it currently possible to edit *?"
I would LOVE expanded slots for music. I tested a track last night on Suzuku Castle, and it worked.

That, and the ability to have names and such.

Wow, Mastaklo is a money whore, he doesn't own Sm4sh (not as in having a copy, the other kind of own) and distributing mods for money is illegal, unless Nintendo makes their own service for it, which they won't.
He tried to profit off his Shadow hack by linking it to something completely unrelated.

When you say expanded slots do you mean expanded costume slots like cBliss had? It is important to note that cBliss should not be used with Brawlex and costumes should be added via editing the fighter and CSSSlot config files.
No. The extra costumes on the default characters work fine. They have their portraits and all.
My extra characters aren't showing up on the character select screen. They showed up when I used Brawl on my Wii, but on vWii, they aren't showing up.

If you guys want to get your feet wet with Smash mods, use this with SDCafiine.

You can also download nus3bank music files from Smash Custom Music. They work (replaced the remixed Ken's theme with Guile's SF4 theme). Use the drop down template and choose Smash on Wii U.
It has everything but the Bayonetta music, which I have a pic of.

Going here through the browser can make things easier instead of having a million bookmarks.
So, through Homebrew, can I export/import saves into different accounts on my Wii U?

Yes.

I have yet to test it.

I snagged a copy of the file too and dumped it into my mega.nz. Now I'm just trying to figure out the "0" issue. Like I said, we should start a thread about this thing.

I did see this: http://rhcafe.us.to/?page=t&id=108
Someone on GBATemp said it worked.

Let's face it. I'm a Wii U owner, and Nintendo has just given up on the Wii U.
This can be a problem because Nintendo can patch it now. You more people how are using it they more chances nintendo is going to patch it.

It's time to hack ssb4!! The glours days of ssb4 hacking as come.
You say it's a bad idea, but then you say it's a great thing.
I'm getting mixed messages here.

I did.

So it looks like the exploit for 5.5.1 was leaked.
And a confirmation, for the doubters.

Seeing as we've been modding brawl to be more like Sm4sh, do you think some people are going to mod Sm4sh to make it more like brawl?

It'd be amusing I guess, just a random thought that entered my mind.
As long as we don't make Project: M on Smash 4, I'll be fine.
103  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: The Brawl Expansion Project on: May 02, 2016, 03:04:17 PM
Hey guys. So I recently got Brawl working with codes on my vWii. However, I don't see my expanded slots. Is there a reason why I'm not seeing my extra slots? The default characters have the expanded slots, but the added characters aren't showing up.

The issue is, the exploit is done. Working. 100%.

Main dude behind it claims to be waiting for Nintendo to patch it out before they release it, which is seven kinds of stupid given the end result is the same, just with more waiting for no reason; there are a few other given justifications for waiting, but the counterargument is usually obvious and correct.

Exploit for which version? 5.5.1?
105  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: BrawlVault: Feedback and Updates on: April 30, 2016, 07:11:17 PM
Oh yeah, I forgot that every single person on all of kc-mm who ever uploads anything is 100% honest and correct. -_-

Hint: Why don't you take a look at the Vault and see how many recolors of model imports are listed as textures and not model imports, or how many disobey the Vault rules. Cause I have; as in, the entire Vault, and way too many to count. You can't trust the users; you gotta have the staff tag 'em.
Cut the attitude there, windhunter. It isn't needed.

Why is the staff responsible for tagging hacks? Their many priority is to approve hacks, check the validity of reports, and remove faulty hacks, not tag everyone's hacks.
