Why did they model Ness's eyes but not his mouth..?? Ah well, the model still looks pretty great. Ignore the girl on the floor.

Seriously tho... what the heck guys.

Smash 4 = Left, Brawl = Right

I'm working with a friend to try to get it into Smash 3ds now. I'm very new to the technical side of things, but it should hopefully work.

All my texture ideas are on toon Link for some reason.

Saw it on Tumblr, nice carrot. I love the eyes and leaves!

It's too early for this [censored], lol

Also, here's a more accurate NES Link, with original weapons and all.

Might do a Pink-haired LTTP Link as well!

Thanks to RTB for ripping this. Babby's first Smash 4 texture hack...

Thanks Velen. Always good with feedback.

-Ah, I see. I kinda interpreted them as shades, kind of like how Proto Man's helmet works. (It's a helmet with a pair of shades on) It's very... 80's

-Funny you mention that, there actually is a reason for that edit. I figured it would be impossible for your arm to comfortably bend if there was a huge metal ring in your armpit, so I made it small to accommodate that.

- Hmm, I agree with this one. I can see how it looks empty without the falcon emblem, since that's how it is most of the time. In this case, I was being accurate to the source material. It had to differ enough from Normal Falcon and such. (That doesn't mean I won't edit it with a design later)

I'm glad you think it's one of the best alts so far, though. Thank you

So it's not a perfect replica, but still pretty dang close to it.
I still think it's a more effective costume by virtue on improving and adding detail to the existing material, instead of directly altering it.

Yup, the Sigurd alt kinda like what Brawl and Smash 4 did to Peach's dress design. Same overall look, but with more details.

But yeah, I'm glad the thread's calmed down now.

then sorry, yeah you're gonna get assimilated into the group of the KCMM haters.

But I don't hate KCMM you dingus, so don't lump me there

Also, I guess I should clarify: "We" means Starwaffle, Nano, Spex, and I. And probably a few others. Point is, the modelers like to hear what KCMM thinks.

Just like how some PMBR members like KCMM, others don't. It's a large group with a lot of opinions.

Here's one thing I ask of you all, on a side note: Don't treat the PMBR 's opnions as one entity. (You say "your" as if I'm the entire PMBR) We're all separate people when it boils down to it. Stop treating us like we're part of a collective, it's only certain people who have a beef against KCMM. I just make the damn alt costumes, lol. That also applies to other people on the art team.

I don't know what kind of politics there are relating to PMBR vs KCMM, but they're irrelevant to me as a modeler.

Edit: Not like what I'm saying is gonna change anything considering how the PMBR seems to consider this community.
You guys probably should stop posting here altogether if you really don't care about what's being said on KCMM.

I'll address this first. I think you're ging over the fact that many of us, especially the texture artists/modelers, are part of the KCMM community itself. I can't speak for people like ds22 or Dant, but StarWaffle, Nano, Spex, and I are members of this community. So dude, we like hearing your feedback.

To the rest of your post: It boils down to artistic liberties. I understand the appeal of having an 100% accurate Hector alt, but many people could tell it was him anyway. The FE subreddit could tell, and they're big on FE. Again, there's a completely accurate Hector already on the vault if you want that.

(Also, I'm glad you liked the Sigurd alt, thanks)

29  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: [Official] Project M discussion: Turbo Mode Contest and Alt Costume Tuesdays! on: July 22, 2014, 04:13:04 PM
Thanks for your opinion, and yeah, the initial concept artist took some liberties with Hector's design. In the end, it's his armour with a bit of an Ike spin.

I think it's still recognizable as Hector-esque, since people on smashboards recognized him from a blurry stream feed.

There's an accurate Hector already on the vault (axe and all), I recommend you download it if you're looking for something like that.

Thanks dude, but I already knew where the trophies go. The problem is that it froze in Diorama mode.
