I modified ZSSh's face for Din some time ago. Figured I could do it again for Jora. Eyes are, in my mind, of decent size, since she's meant to be a more mature looking character, and if we're going by Zelda style,, then smaller than average eyes would actually be beneficial for her.
I duno. I'm old fashioned and I kinda want to put as much vertex modding into this as possible. XD
I should also stop for the night and work on something else dammit XD
I think you misunderstood me. I meant make an actual face using Sheen's as the model for said actual face. Rather than making flat textures.
Still not as easy as it sounds. The topography of a face is very complicated and difficult to sculpt, and if anything, I'm attempting to reduce the work of whoever might be assisting me in the mapping process. It's a win win thing to just modify the brawl face, Velen.
Considering the art-style of your avie, I think it would be better to model a new head using Sheena Fujibayashi's from ToSII as a basis for it.
These avies are also turning 2 years old soon.
I'd rather work with an actual face rather than textures. Besides, I may show this around the Steam community and see if I can't get it ported to Garry's mod at some point when it's completed.
Also, this is the most recent face I've drawn of her.
You modelled this all by yourself? And you call yourself not confident with your skills.
Well, I know the basics on how to make stuff. This isn't my first rodeo, kid. What I don't know is how to map and rig and junk like that.
I also have an advantage as the design's creator.
Clothes and junk are also one thing, faces are another, though I'm probably going to just use Zelda's face with some modifications slapped onto this model.
The skirts are from Ganondorf's cloak, and since the patterns differ from front to back, I made the inside of the cloak, which is a separate texture, into the back pattern. Might need the resolution pumped up a little bit so it looks proper.
So, I kinda got fed up with waiting on that Majora model.
Gonna need help with mapping and rigging, maybe someone to clean it up since I don't know a whole lot about model making, but there's progress, and I'm doing most of the gruntwork.
Ani, I'm having trouble importing these files into Maya. I literally went out and downloaded the trial just so I could see ho it's coming along. Are there certain settings I need to change?
Edit: Nevermind. I was using 2011 when you were using 2012. Still, could I trouble you for some screenshots since I don't want to redownload the program to simply look at the model? ^^; It might also help potential successors see what they're getting into.
Oh my god guys I was using Touhou as a f*cking example. LET IT GO.
I was just trying to explain to Agent-S that the mod didn't look like it matched at all, when he said it did. THAT'S IT.
I'M DONE.
F*CK.
On topic, nice job on Jim. Good start, but I'd try smoothing out his geometry on his body a little more. I can't recall his proportions exactly, but you might want to make the body a little bigger, or the head a little smaller.
