So I added my first clone to my new pack, and I did everything that I have done in the past for it to work... but this is weird and idk how to fix it. The clone does not freeze, but it's icon and csp name both display as random, while the csps are the correct images. How do I fix this? Also how do I change the franchise icon behind the csps.
For the Random thing, you didn't change the framecount in the VIS0 (Is it VIS0? confirm plx).
Franchise icon is another CosmeticConfig option. I can't remember where exactly.
This thread has changed a lot since I left. Seems to be a lot more... organized.
However I still stand by my statement and I will not be returning to this project. Not because of poor organization (which was alleviated, and then some), but solely because I can't do anything very useful. I make menus, CSS's, and stuff, which isn't really part of this project.
I do wish this project the best of luck and textures. Maybe you'll get a CSP or two (or three! )
I'm loving how this project is coming together, but I just had one SMALL complaint (huge emphasis on "small"). I understand that you use Melee sounds for basically everything, but I noticed that there is a sound missing that I loved hearing in actual Melee. In SSBM, you'd hear like a sort of boom noise when you hit someone with a really strong attack when they were at a high damage, and kind of a smaller boom when the move wasn't as strong but still strong enough to make that sound. For example, you can hear the first sound I described at around 21:20 in this video when Dr. Mario hits Mario with the Warp Star: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg6IoATvugk. You can hear the second sound I was talking about at 21:11 in the same video when Dr. Mario hit Mario with his F-air.
The guy who does the Melee SFX made a post about this almost a year ago explaining the problem with this.
It's simply not possible or feasible to mimic how that sound is played in Melee.
Ganon doesn't have a Fake, earlier in this thread someone said to rename 'a FitGanon' to 'FitGanonFake', and I of course assumed that since no 'FitGanon.pcs' existed, they meant a 'FitGanonXX'.
Whoever it was they were an idiot. If you're missing ANY of these files, grab them from the Brawl Data in Resources.
