think I might just go ahead and upload the 3ds commercial recolor and fix the torso rig later. i'll edit this post later if I decide to do so for those who prefer to have it instead of the powersuit.

Samus: Your version of SSB4 Samus is indeed one of the best Samus mods available. My only gripe was that the visor looked a little... bluish.
tanks. As for the blue-ish visor, the glow effect did that. may tone that effect down some for the visor.

all suits are using the same visor textures because the rest are corrupted(easy fix), still working on material adjustments(specs, glow effect, and adding rim), and I am remaking the model changer gun. forgot to do that when I first started samus, so I have to do that now.
I have two updates planned, one is Smash 4 Samus and the other is Sonic Lost Word Link DLC. samus will be released today and sonic will be done sometime in the future.

@samus - rig and model are already done, just need to get the textures/recolors ready. for this update I will be using the actual smash 4 model. I will move all the current stuff into a folder called OLD, this is just incase someone wants to use the see through visor version still. I will not be including/making a see through visor version for the update, there will only be one version.
@sonic - he seemed to be one of my most popular hacks despite the fact that I was lazy and rushed him. Since I did a horrible job he didn't have everything. I plan to include those missing things in the update, they are:
- specs - metal - better/fixed rig - texture edits to resemble in-game appearance
isnt that gonna lag like hell? i have a modelled young link based on P:M's OoT Link, with a significant amount less of polys if you're interested, it only needs texture adjusting and those sexy masks
everything in the scene isn't visible, he has 4 shields total. 2 deku shields and 2 hero shields for the alt version. and if needed I could optimize it, it really isn't a problem
also, I would use your model but:
I don't want to redo the face so it can use textured expressions I don't want to edit the model to fit the bone edits I did I don't want to do texture edits I don't want to re-add the shield, sword, sheath, masks, bracelets, etc. I don't want to have to re-rig a whole model
there's more but I really don't feel like going on about it
decided to work on young link over toon link for now, it's my only project that doesn't need modeled expressions. due to his arms doing the twist of death during some animations I decided to model/add his bomb bracelet from OoT to both wrists. you can click the pic below to view them in a larger size.
he should be done soon-ish. I just need to finish up the rig, map and texture his bracelets, go through every animation and edit the transformsomethingoption in the fitchar.pac, make his texture expressions, and after that it's just minor stuff that won't take long.
he will desync wifi and requires a fitchar.pac to work. this is for young link over toon link, not a port of young link over link over toon link.
That's so great his new hair looks cool, and really i like the side-cape thingy. Will you give him his bandana?
thanks and yes, he will have his new bandana. I aready started it after showing the hair progress. it won't take but a minute or two to finish. i stopped so that I can practice modeling heads
everything that I haven't modeled yet besides his head and hands will only take a few minutes to do. it's minor stuff so I am not really concerned with it right now.
That looks really nice! Finally, someone who is making an alternate costume for Roy (and an awesome one at that). Keep up the great work.

progress is going to slow down drastically, gotta model the head. I haven't been able to make a good head model since I first tried custom modeling, so I will spend some time on that. I also have to model my first set of hands too, I haven't even tried modeling hands so that could also take some time as well. not sure
after those two things I will be pretty much done with modeling him. then it's on to mapping and texturing, not sure how long that will take.
I highly recommend not making everything shaped, and making it more open ended. so you can put transparency in it.
what taiko said is true, since this is my first model I decided to do it the hyrule warriors way because it's easier to model.
the plane hair style that we want is that of metal gear solid, which will require a crap load of work. I like the way the MGS plane hair looks but i'm not sure if I can do that with my current skill level, will require some experimenting.
after I finish modeling everything I will attempt the plane hair style. this way if it doesn't work out, I already have everything else done and can put the finishing touches on him.
I don't. It looks more true to form. Also it's differing from his other appearance. I'd keep it the way you have it to be honest IWG.
what large leader said is also true, I will decide after I rig the current one. I like the cape how it is now too, but if I can't get it to look good then I may have to switch to a full cape.
I modeled the cape based on a cosplay costume, I couldn't find any official pics of the back. only found fanart and cosplay pics.
@large leader - think I forgot to tell you this, but I am not gonna make it move with the arm like in the artwork. like you said that will be too difficult or impossible without major edits, instead I am just gonna make it move like a regular cape
