Going through all the combinations, you're right...

I originally wanted to just have 3 different versions.
-Main version with all standards.
-Version with all second options.
-Version with all thrid options.

And let people customize to their choosing, but I didn't want to run the risk of people who don't know what they're doing running into issues (but on second thought, I'd still get those complaints).

I think the 3 varients would be the best. If people know how to PSA they'll edit it, if they don't then whatever. Though, you might just want to make the first version and see if it's even worth doing the others. If your heart isn't set, that is.

This is Shiny Pichu. It's a texture hack of Star's Pichu model.  The wrinkles on Pichu's face is hardly seen and makes the current textures look ugly and "25 years older" compared to this. I think this should be Pichu's primary costume replacement. Looks a lot like the Pichu plushie I own that's behind me! (Except it has no spike ear in game)

Download is at Brawl Vault as usual. It's easy to find.  It shouldn't add any huge bytes to the already large folder of this pack.

In other news

Little Mac is non existent. He appears as Dante when playing as him

and a question...  RSB2 and RSB3 is too much for my 3DS' SD card (Which is 4GB). Any ideas?


He appears as Dante? x.x Let me check that...

And thanks for the Pichu skin.

For 4GB, remove RSB3.

Moving on its very rare but I've had a few freezes while switching between alts.  I can't seem to replicate any of them though,  just happens lol but it's been maybe once out of 50 games or so so that don't bother me

As far as characters do,  I seen it mentioned before but I think the Mega Charizard (not sure if both but definitely the last) may be a little too strong in attacks,  particularly his left/right B,  nothing quite like opening a game with it and sending opponents to the blast zones first hit lol Smiley

I can't speak for the top part of your post, as I only use the Wii and know nothing about anything outside of the official disc, and the modded Wii. I'm sorry :/

As for cloud and Zack, we'll see. If someone wants to make those FSes, be my guest. I actually don't care much for FSes aha, so it'd be cool if someone helped.

It's a good thing you're looking into it. I don't use Dolphin so I didn't know what to do about that version. If it develops further, I'll set up a Dolphin version by just switching out the RSBE folder form the *old* build.

Aha, so many people want these. Smiley The problem is that if I'm going to do announcer calls, I'd want them clear and consistent. I don't have equipment to record proper sounding voices, and I don't know what effect to give them in order for them to have sort of the "echo" effect the announcer has (if that's the proper thing to call it).

More importantly, I don't have an awesome voice for something like that. I don't squeak or anything (ahaha) but I just don't sound epic. I'd need a good voice in order to achieve the announcer calling, and then I'd need to replace sounds... Which means I'd need someone else's help. And as of right now, plenty of people like the build, but I'm not getting the help I need to really feel good deviating from the task list I have at hand, and the announcer calls aren't anywhere near the top. So... if someone wants to help, that'd be great.

i tried to launch the project m app too, but it either sends me back to the wii menu (every time gecko said there are no files) or blackscreens (every time gecko blackscreened too)
i deleted all custom stages (read about that somewhere, they were [censored]ty anyway)
i am using the homebrew channel
i have unlocked all characters in the standard SSBB
i have tried everything above with my 1.87 GB SD card
i also tried some of them with my 7.57 GB USB
both are formatted FAT32
i have no other brawl hacks installed

dont know if that might help you, but i dont have any idea what to do anymore (except for trying every single possible combination of RSBE and RSBP files



Sad I'm really sorry to read this. I know nothing about PAL region discs and the requirements to set it up for PAL. But surely, someone knows what to do, considering the amount of people who seem to use my build... perhaps ask in one of the help forums?

I just beat my 504th game so I'm going to be looking into another addition. I'll have some things to share in the near future...

... You're not only doing Deoxys, but I think you're doing it the best conceivable way. Out of all the projects I've seen on the vault recently, I'm most excited for this one. Multiple attacks with knowledge of combo slots allows for multiple Deoxys "loadouts" to be set up. It's awesome just thinking about Smiley

Just like with your Charizard moveset, I'm available for the Beta testing if you're interested.

I almost forgot to mention this sound bug Im having with the menu, its like stactic mixed with low volume music. if i switch the hook type to VBI in Geckos settings it plays fine but then most of my character icons in CSS switch to gotenks. I assume this is a code or hook issue? Ive fiddled with my dolphin sound setting and have found no success.

I see you're using Dolphin (I think that's what it says on the top left) I don't use it so I don't know. For me, that happens when there's sound that the game can't handle (Or it did during the testing phase). I would try removing the menu theme I put in and then trying it. Maybe the program you're running it with simply doesn't like the song I picked.

Hey, just dowwnloaded this, and it is really awesome, but I do have one question: What happened to Cloud's ps1 model? That used to be my favorite costume of his to use.

Yeah, he'll be back. Basically, I'm refraining from too many alts right now to ensure I have enough space in the CSS for at least 7 more characters, and more combo characters. I'm still taking measures to make optimal space, so for the time being some cool alts have gone away, or characters have less recolors. It's just a step for planning for the future. But once I can confirm the lowest possible size I can have, I can open the floodgates for alts people having been asking me for for a while.

You can't swap the Mega Charizard models (I believe).

Those are fun ideas. But like I said above, I need to make sure we have room for what we have planned, before I can put in alts just for the sake of it. Believe me I want to. I just need time. We're not at that step yet.

For now, yes. We are now working on the next release. It'll probably be released in 2 months or so. And I'll reveal more that'll be coming in that later Smiley

megamans forward smash will crash the game, its charge up will work but releasing will bring up the same message. I followed the install instructions for the 2gb version. Am i doing something wrong? or is this an issue for everyone?




So I just checked Megaman and he doesn't freeze. But his textures for the side smash are not the proper type... :/ so I'll need to include a patch for Megaman. Good thing it's just one file, but yeah thanks for the find. *sigh* I can never just release a perfect build.

Anyway, I'll fix the issue and upload a Megaman.pac that can replace the one in the build currently. It'll fix the texture. Hopefully that fixes your issue.

From the time I downloaded this, the updated version's link had nothing in it so I just downloaded 3.5 and assumed that would be latest version until a while. So yeah, I was using an outdated version... Sorry for wasting your time again.

Anyways, you should try the Randomchu PSA for Pichu.
Who's he over? I could try to combine him.

Well, I hope he gets all of his SFX fixed.
Also, he lacks of SFX in some attacks. Said sounds can be heard if facing Marth (not voice, sword sounds).

I insist so much on Sephiroth because he's my favorite character.

There's no other thing to do, but to try to change his SFX IDs and some SFX.
Which SAWND file is Sephiroth's?

Hmm... okay then. I'll get to him sooner rather than later.



Anyway, the 3.71 build is up ready for DL.

I had 3 parts put up, but I accidentally made the third part the entire build... so if you want to download the entire 8GB version it's up. There's still instructions for how to change the build to 2GB and 4GB.

We changed too many characters, music, and what have you to just make another patch. I feared that making a patch with so much would confuse people and I'd get flooded with emails. So it's all nice and set up for you in the SDHCX .rar file.

Dark Samus won't work. The previous Dark Samus froze the game randomly and didn't work with certain other characters in play.

If I use the Samus REL for Dark Samus it'll still freeze (even the fresh Crony one will freeze). I can't combine the slots for her to work either. Samus has too much filesize with Zero Suit Samus. So I don't know what to do about her. But she's not coming back until I can remedy one of these problems.

As for Sephiroth, the previous one teleported and was corrupted. The new one might not have the proper KO sound (In the future it can be fixed) but I was more concerned with removing glitches and bugs for this release, so that's why I used this one.

So, at least for now, the Sephiroth will be as he is unless someone wants to make some changes and I can offer it as an alt patch for people who want to replace the one in the build. But I'm taking a step back from these characters for a bit, as Brawlboy and I really went through and tried to make sure there were no more playability issues and we sort of need to take a breather. Aha, it's exhausting in it's own way.

I haven't made animation updates. I'm actually looking for someone who can go through and make animation touch ups where they see fit. If you or someone you know wants to be a part of the team for that then let me know!

Otherwise it's not on my list just yet. The team is small and I can inly specialize in so much while maintaining organization of the project. My next manner of business is the 4th stage page and some secret codes we might have...

And some sound issues here and there. For the 3.8 release that is.


But if you do plan on downloading the newest iteration, I'll be releasing the patched "definitive" version tonight. This will be our last bug release for a little while.

I miss Dark Samus lol,  any chance she may return or is she out? Still a little curious as to what Vegetas down taunt causes (so red? Aura appears around him and the more it's used the faster it flashes,  only goes away with a left/right A) only curious cause he is like my favorite character maybe tied with Shadow

Moving on though did we lose Stock Stamina?  Or did we never have it lol I swear I used it in a previous build and now I can't figure it out lol

Stamina was bugged. It was not adapted to work with the build 100%. If possible, it'll be reworked to work. But it needs to be 100%. No errors, no conflictions.

As for Dark Samus... I tried... The one over Marth has a lot of bugs and conflicts with certain characters. The Dark Samus using a Samus solo module will freeze when the other Samus is in play. And combining them wouldn't work as there's not enough filespace as the game loads both Samus and Zero Suit at the same time when Samus is selected.

I wouldn't think it's all that different (Wii U has a Wii Mode). Unless this just doesn't work via the Hackless Project M style. If that's the problem then that's a shame as I won't be able to use your mod. (I do have a normal Wii, but it can't read Brawl any more)

For the update tonight, all of our glitches will be fixed.

In the near future we will replace Virus Zero woth Megaman Zero. The moveset will remain the same but the identity will change. I know an artist who is going to spruce up the textures for the most compatible model with the moveset I could find.

So other than that, our definitive version will be released tonight in pieces. We hope you enjoy 3.71 and we look forward to seeing what we can work with down the road for further iterations. Stand by for an updated link.

Okay so, I don't have to go to stage builder to get my mods to work, first and foremost... so that right there tells me we might be doing something different. Furthermore, I don't use a Wii U...

While I've been modding for a while, I've never deviated from my modded Wii in any way. So unfortunately I would not know how to help you. :/ I'm sorry. But if there's someone on the forum that can help this person out I'd personally appreciate it.

Look up Batman64's tutorial on that. It's flattering you came to me, but as I am busy with patch work and general pack work, I don't have time to write out a full tutorial. Not now, and probably not in the near future. But tuts exist. Just find one you like, I recommend Batman64's.

This is probably the coolest looking Desert Level I've seen. I think it's tough to make deserts look compelling but you picked a great source. Looks like a fun map!
