Lucario's is nice. That music... or sound rather... i don't know....
Btw, I think you took birds-eye view to a direct meaning. It shouldn't be exactly over Lucario's head, but at an angle where Lucario can still angle is beam properly and still look epic.
And the part where they're looking from underneath.
Would you mind if I adjust some camera angles for Lucario for a better understanding of what I'm talking about?
What dash? Im talking about the camera during the sword slash sequence....i cant ever remember seeing Link do a 'dash' animation during his FS at all, he just warps to the target doesnt he?
Actually no. He dashes to his opponent if the Enemy is out of reach.
Personally. I think something more in reference to Dragon Ball Z would be more fitting for Lucario in terms of cinematics, but that's just me.
Top-Down view of the beam while matching the rotation doesn't seem like a good idea to me honestly. Unless you intend on playing alone. Otherwise it's kinda unfair for the other players. Plus, it would be very disorienting for them.
I originally intended to have the normal camera when he fires, but the idea of a Bird Eye view sounded good to me. Now that I look at it, I kinda agree.
I'm just about done working on the Final Smash. But before I even release it, I want to know if I should go with the Bird Eye view, or normal camera when he shoots his LAZOR. Shall I make a poll? If so then expect release tomorrow.
Just a thought for lucario, not sure if it is possible or not. Can you have the final smash happen from lucario's point of view? Like a top down view and the camera follows the direction of the beam. (left and right) Would be amazing to see something like this.
I can Have an over the top view. But my concern is if the camera follows the rotation or not. If not, I could just zoom it out.
KH3D Has eaten up my time... I haven't even worked on Lucario AT ALL Today... Goodbye 1 Per Day Streak... Oh well. I'll work on it tomorrow, and that I will make sure of.
oh good, i was thinking on making a suggestion about Link's FS, but i thought it would come off as rude as you had already made a 'cinematic FS' for him and i didnt want to bombard you as you are already booked as it is.
it could zoom out like that and then i dont know, whatever you want at that point. (although that angle was while they were mid-air so it might not work the same if the ground will obstruct the view)
I could actually do something like that, however, he dashes so fast, it's not even maybe half a second. So I don't think it's worth having to do it.
You could just add an If Hitbox has connected then go to the camera zoom effect. And you'll either have to freeze time or increase the hitlag on the FS.
I don't have enough experience with using If Statements and the like... I've dealt with Requirements though...
Oops, I didn't make that clear. I meant that wouldn't Kagemaru's idea for a 'flashback' effect be possible if Marth's first hitboxes (up until the final one) didn't have any knockback or knockback growth? You know, so that it still works like it normally would.
I works like it normally would already... And the problem with that is if the person manages to dodge the attack, The animation would play like Marth did hit something. So adding those Camera effects can still happen even if he hit nothing.
Question! Wouldn't that be possible if the hitbox just didn't have any knockback or knockback growth? Not to give you even more work. It's just that these things are really some of the best-looking Final Smashes we've seen on the vault.
With Marth's Final Smash hit, the attack, would it be possible to make the hit he does... show up again? Like... Instead of the one hit, the hit box would actually hit and stun the opponent say... 3 or 4 times over before sending them off into oblivion?
I ask because if its possible, then you could manipulate the camera to give multiple close ups at different angles at the time of impact that would simulate 'flash back' type of effects.
Was that confusing?
I can make multiple hitboxes on the hit, but I don't want to do that because I want to make sure the Final Smash still work the same like normal. The only problem would be that the other players won't see where they are... lol
I have a few suggestions for the ones that are currently done:
Marth: Maybe have the cinematic sequence end at a bird's eye view of Marth before he attacks?
Link: I think the choice of some of the "shots" could be a bit better. The shot from behind the one being attacked seems a bit tacky to me...
For Marth's, I made it out of boredom, so I didn't really do much to it. The Idea came from this TAS video by someone on youtube called versat13. But I wouldn't mind giving Marth a little something extra. I was actually thinking of giving him a behind diagonal view of the characters flying away.
As for Link, I couldn't really think of what shots to take. I just took some off the back of my head. Although some people managed to like it, so I'll leave it as is for now. Suggestions would be nice. Post Merge: July 31, 2012, 10:57:57 PMAlright, the next character has become official. Normally it'd be tied with Sonic and Lucario, but Azure_Shadow said he would vote Lucario if he was in the poll at the time instead of voting Zelda.
