There's no way we can ban hacks just for a lack of quality. As long as it works and they follow the rules it has just as much of a right to be on the Vault as any other hack.
Why has no one commented on your latest release? Seriously, that guy is badass! Looks really good in-game. I hope that you keep making these amalgams. They're easily some of the most creative things on the Vault.
I did one report just now, let's see if he ignores me as well.
And the report got removed. Just like all of the others.
I don't think he's ignoring these on purpose. I legitimately believe he doesn't understand what he needs to do. I'd try and tell him if I knew Spanish, but I don't and I don't trust Google translate so I really can't do anything.
Again, do anyone here know Spanish and is willing to help?
So yeah, about this hack pack. It's been reported multiple times by multiple people and the guy has ignored all of them. But, I'm not calling for deleting it or anything. I don't think the maker is all that fluent in English. Seems like his primary language is Spanish. Is there anyone out there that is fluent in Spanish that would be willing to let this guy know that A) he has to post a download link, not a link to a blog, and B) he needs a read me with credits for the makers of all of the hacks he put in his pack?
And why would this topic have any need of being moderated? So far, it looks clean, aside from Noah's reponse to Velen's OP (Which called for it, as it was a straight punch in the face to those modders), where both are clearly being straight forward. So long as there's no splicit insults and everything is about hacks and their quality, it should be fine.
Well, I just based that off of the title and the OP. It seemed like the kind of topic that would be full of moddable things. Maybe I've spent too much time on other boards were people aren't as friendly to each other.
So, you're saying the reason that there shouldn't be a rating system or discussion of rating system is that the answer is no? I object!
No, there are plenty of reasons to not have a ratings/review system for hacks (like how it would almost certainly be misused from day one onward). The reason I don't think this debate is necessary is that people have brought this up plenty of times before and I doubt that you have anything new to offer to it.
But, by all means, if you think you do have something new to bring to the table, speak your mind. It won't change anything of course, but I suppose reasonable discourse can't be that bad.
Because the answer is always no. It's always been no and it will always be no. I'm 99% sure that the site isn't gonna relent because of anything that any one person says, be they a new user or a veteran such as yourself.
