I've rendered my models with outlines, it's as simple as duplicating the model, enlarging it, and turning on cullface inside. And working the cell shading works with it too, although I reccomend having a separate shader so the outline isn't cell-shaded as well.
Ok, I watched this thread start and told myself not to join in because I have too many other projects going on.... but this has progressed so quickly, it's amazing! You've got good animators too, I'll give you that. I am now following this thread, and willing to lend a helping hand with anything you need help with.
Not much progress on Brawl Masquerade, but at least I now know what I need to do in ASM to get it to work. And I'm thinking about how I should release it, as right I'm thinking about releasing it in the form of a few codes that adds 2 costumes to each character sans Wario and Mr. G&W.
I've heard that a lot about a few of Brawl's precompiled files, the .rel files and .dol files. They're different from other files and would need to have a new system in Brawlbox but it's never impossible, it's whether or not we're willing to put our noses to the grindstone to do it, if we think that we should be able to do it or not.
The top results suggest that some updates ruin mediafire for firefox: Try turning off some add-ons and toolbars for firefox and see if it works, or another browser. One of those two tricks would likely work.
@Red: The only thing separating Pinkie's Model from the other ponies is the color and hair. I put redoing the pegasus wings as a higher priority than the hair models, they're nothing near show accurate, so I thought I would help myself to fixing them since a third of the models need good wings.
@AmbitiousPeople: You guys are free to do what you want, (EDIT: Spike's creator's TommoPuppy's is ok all with all everything done with Spike) but I'll be doing a new moveset non-Olimar related, so I have no plans to change the pikmin for now. I'll say it again, I'm not resorting to simple model replacements.
Only Animal Crossing and Mario Kart deserve simple model replacements
And it goes without saying that files like main.dol should be editable with Brawlbox... We're on custom animations right now, and the PSA will be the focus after that, but I wouldn't be surprised to see someone else suddenly cracking file types soon. Especially with coders like you knowing how to work the system.
