2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: PM+EX problem on: November 04, 2016, 05:53:40 AM
I'm not sure I follow, you mean that his cosmetics (portraits and such) show up as Pit? Or do you mean that Pit appears instead of him? Which slot did you use?
3  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Project Wolf Link on: November 02, 2016, 06:02:22 PM
I solved the biggest of all Blender importing issues, so, after this semester, hopefully December, I'll start up again on Project Wolf Link! Cheesy

P.S. I changed my rules on "Updates to This Thread"; for details, it's in the OP.
I definitly need to keep a spot open for him in my mod!

Quick question, I know you plan for his PSA to turn into Link but will there be a transformation-less version too for those of us who want him as a BrawlEx character?
4  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Super Smash Bros. Maximum on: November 02, 2016, 06:01:04 PM
What is SSB Maximum?
Super Smash Bros. Maximum is a personnal mod I started as a way to occupy my mind during my period of anxiety disorder and sorta make the Smash game I'd love to see. I originally did not intend to release this project but as I keep on thinkering it, I felt like it'd be a crime not to. This project tries to do many things that I have seen few attempt and, in a way, push Brawl modding to its maximum. Of course, I am but a novice modder and thus I do not know every little thing that may be needed but I plan on learning over time to make my vision a reality. Using Project M as its base, this mod uses elements from many popular mods, using some of the best content the community has to offer while also putting in things that I will work on in the future. The goal is to refresh Brawl in order make this mod a sort of believable Smash 5. Keep in mind that due to everything planned, this will be a Dolphin-only release since I use some of its features to trick things around to make it the way it is (that and I have no way to test it on a real Wii anyway)

What is planned?
  • 139 characters: From a quick operation, I was able to deduce that using PyotrLuzhin and ds22's BrawlEX Hold Shield Rewrite code could potentially allow that many characters. I dunno if it actually is possible as I seemed to realise lately that ids beyond 127 did not work (at least for me, if anyone knows, I am more than willing to know how!)
  • Around 200 stages: I know Legacy XP has more stages than that but I want each stage to feel unique and not feel like a reskin (nothing against LXP though, what they did is amazing) but also because alt stages do not seem to work as well as I'd hope too.
  • The Retro mode from Legacy: I LOVE that idea personally and I want to make it part of my mod. Of course, few characters HAVE actual retro models but if anyone wanna contribute low-poly models, I'd appreciate it!
  • Z-Cast system: Simple really, majority of the cast will have an alternate character skin that can be selected holding Z, that way it allows to add a few extra "characters" without falling in the realm of something like Infinite who sorta breaks the traditionnal way Smash works by having every costume be a different character. I have nothing against it but it just does not feel natural to me to have it that way and the Z-Cast system as I call it allows that compromise. Of course, these characters will use the same moveset as the character you hold Z on which in some cases could look odd ^^;
  • Costumes for every character: Self explanatory really, I plan for as many caracters as possible to have alt costumes instead of alt colors though some EX characters do not really have some so it's not possible for everyone :p Note that some of these alt costumes are alt characters but only when it makes sense for example: Funky Kong costume for DK, Lanky Kong for Diddy, Louie for Olimar, Kanji for Yu, etc.
  • Announcer call for EVERY character: I like to have the announcer say who you select, feels natural that way and as such I plan for every of the 139 characters (if I can get that many) to have their own unique call.
  • Sounds for every character: I don't know how possible it will be but I would like for every character to have at the very least voices that fits them. Of course, a few will use common sounds in order to make it possible but I want no "muted" characters.
  • New movesets for a few characters that I love: I have yet to learn how to make PSAs but I do intend on learning in order to give some characters that I just HAD to put in have their own unique moves that fit them. Few examples of that are: Phoenix Wright, Minato, Yu Narukami. I also intend on fixing the current Klonoa PSA that is on the vault as I feel it has a good potential but was left to collect dust
  • A revamped music selection: Speaks for itself, I intend on reworking the vast majority of Brawl's soundtrack to give it new beats.
  • HD Textures
  • Emblems for every franchise and some others revamped
  • New custom HD stickers (for fun :p)
  • Custom intro movie that shows the vast majority of the cast

Current roster
Uses Legacy XP's sweet character select screen but with custom CSS icons that uses fanart, this post will be updated as I keep on working on the mod

Of course, due to the ambitious nature of the project, don't expect it done soon. I welcome any contribution as in if you see something you'd like to help for in here, I welcome it!

Edit: As I work on this project, I will upload some of the content I made for my mod so at the very least, you guys can use it (for example: Fixed Klonoa, Cloud fused PSAs, Gunslinger Krystal with BrawlEx SFX, alt animations for Legacy Pichu, etc.)
5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: How do I make custom Final Destination appear during Classic mode? on: October 31, 2016, 07:14:57 PM
The master hand battle is its own stage. It can be found in the adventure folder in the stages directory. The stages used for it are 900001.pac, 900101.pac and 900201.pac. It has different settings than your usual FD stage and as such putting a custom one there is quite a hard task. I tried myself with no success.
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / {Solved} Code for dark costumes with Z on: October 13, 2016, 08:58:48 PM
So I know that Legacy works in this manner that its rainbow skins are actually selected using the Z button and those skins are FitDark costumes. I was wondering if it is possible to implement such a code in my build and also if a similar one exists for FitFake as well?

Edit: Well I found out quickly after posting this xD The code is in this thread in cosmetic codes https://smashboards.com/threads/pyotrluzhins-lab.434012/
7  Super Smash Bros. 4 Hacking / Smash 4 (Wii U) Hacking / Re: SonicBrawler's Way-Past-Cool Sm4sh mods! on: October 13, 2016, 04:00:38 AM
That Neku model looks so great, I hope someone can import it back into Brawl as well Shocked (Don't wanna mod my Wii U ^^;)
8  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Team Colors for alternate costume. on: October 12, 2016, 09:30:00 AM
I'm adding characters to my PMEX build and I'd like to know how to give them their alternate costumes in team battle (Mario - Dr. Mario, Wolf - 64 Wolf). I'd imagine this has something to do with the CSS but i don't know what to edit. Any assistance is appreciated.
I believe it is a code in the gct itself. As to how to apply it to EX characters I have no idea Sad
9  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Stocks aren't showing up on: October 07, 2016, 04:52:39 AM
Thank you sooo much. Ive been struggling with these stupid stocks for the last couple days now. I figured you had to put it in a results pac somewhere but i didn't know where in the hell it was. I really appreciate this so thanks again
You're welcome! Don't forget to add [Solved] to the topic!
10  Help & Tutorials / Help / Looking for 3 deleted Castlevania downloads on: October 05, 2016, 05:10:59 AM
Dunno if this is the right place for it but there are 3 Castlevania mods that I want that are no longer downloadable on the vault. If anyone has them, it would be highly appreciated:

Thanks in advance!
11  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Stocks aren't showing up on: September 30, 2016, 04:15:44 AM
That's actually really simple. The stocks are taken in different files depending on the situation. The stocks in sc_selcharacter are only used for menus like classic mode's character select screen. During batle, the game uses info.pac and retrieves the stock icons from that file. In your case, I assume you use PM's HUD in battle and that one dosen't have character-specific stocks in battle (it has generic ones) so no need to worry about that. As for the stocks after the match, the game takes them from STGRESULT.pac which can be a bit tricky. You can find that file in the stages folder in the melee sub-category. In there you go to MiscData[120], this is where you add your stock icons. Once your textures are there, you then go into MiscData[110], there you will find the pat0 entry named InfStockFace (or something similar), add the entries for your stock icons there (make sure the frame count is one higher than your highest number stock icon (for example, if your highest number icon is InfStock.1845 then make your frame count 1846) Hope this helps you!
12  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Brawl's Data in Project M? on: September 29, 2016, 04:16:06 AM
I am installing Project M for Brawl, but do I still need to install all of Brawl's data? If so, how much?

Link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B4vhNdf69qaSZ0N0MnBjOXFYMU0#

You only need to put the new files on your SD Card and boot up the game using your preferred method. Any file "missing" in Project M will be handled by your Brawl disc, no need to put in what is not being replaced
13  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Board Problems, Suggestions and Updates on: September 27, 2016, 04:50:41 AM
I had this idea and I dunno how feasable it would be but I would love some sort of favorites system or something along those lines, sometimes on long boring hours at work, iI tend to browse the vault but I can't of course download my mods there so it'd be nice if I could favorite them and download them once I'm home. It could also be useful in keeping track of which mods you used in your build in order to properly credit them when you release it.
14  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Back at it! POKEMASTERS STAGE THREAD! (3 New stages released!) on: September 26, 2016, 02:05:19 PM
You always do some nice stages so it's nice to see you back at it Smiley Just letting you know by the way that your Sky Canyon Zone+ stage that you just uploaded has its download link as the youtube vid ^^;
15  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Project Smash 4 Cloud[98.99999% Completed] on: September 19, 2016, 07:00:14 PM
It depends on how much I plan on adding to Cloud. Thanks to Xirvet, now Cloud has the option of an English, or Japanese SFX. It'll also have a Brawlex version too, and I planned his SFX there to be over Master Hand.
And like I told ya, I can redo an eglish pack for BrawlEx too :p
