Thank you, even though I already figured it out.
If you want to Load / Unload collisions, make a bone for said collision, then scale the bone to 0 if you want to unload it. If you want the collision to load, scale the bone to 1.

Thanks @Syvkal!

Also, sometimes StageBox shows an error with "Index out of range", preventing me from saving it, which doesn't happen in BrawlBox. So I don't like risking making an entire stage just to have an error stop me.
Actually, someone is working on Stagebox right now, and made the last update to it like today, iirc, even.
Really? Can you link me to a newer version of StageBox?

I've improved and I figured out that I was deleting .brres files, which causes the game to crash.
But I still need some help. What should I do with extra .brres files that I don't need for my stage?

Hello,
I've always wanted to make one of those stages where a platform flies around and stops at locations like Port Town Aero Dive or Delfino Plaza, or custom stages like Alternative Mario Circuit.

I took a look at these and, of course, it's a little challenging for me to understand. But what I've noticed is that in the animation for the stage, you can see that collisions appear (e.g. when the platform lands at a specific place) and disappear (when the platform picks up the fighters and starts flying around again). From my understanding, it's nearly impossible to make collisions in an animation, due to the fact that you can only edit them on the first frame and nowhere else.

So, I was wondering, how can I "animate" collisions so they appear / disappear when I want them to in an animation? Do I have to program? Or is it easier than that?

(why am I even bothering to post this, so many questions here are unanswered)

Unfortunately, Stagebox is a bit outdated and is not that much different.

Deleting anything except in Final Destination causes a crash. I use brawlbox 0.78
8  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Custom Stage crashes at end of a brawl match. on: July 02, 2018, 04:43:10 PM
Probably not going to get any replies to this, like all my other posts  Sad

I made a quick custom stage in Sketchup, but when I test it on training mode, or when the time runs out in a brawl match in my custom stage, the screen freezes and makes a loud buzzing sound. This has happened to other stages I made, and I found absolutely nothing on the internet about this.

This happens sometimes when I make custom collisions (which happened on another stage), or when I create my stage on a 3d modeling program. But I'm doing this in Temple, a stage without any animations, and no model data besides the stage itself, stagePosition and PokeTrainer00.

Any ideas to what is causing this? (Once again, I'll probably get no replies to this as usual, but at least I asked)

Sorry for borderline necroposting, but this question is unresolved and that isn't breaking any of the rules (I think).
All you have to do is export the platforms as a .mdl0, export its textures, go to Castle Siege, add a new model and then replace it with the platform, and then import the platform textures.

Every time I delete something, the stage crashes in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

What should I do? Can you even delete things at all?

rigging and such
I'm a beginner at this, what is rigging? XD

Also, how do you make bones and objects and such? I use blender.

Hi,
I've seen people make custom stages, but I never know what program they use to make them. BrawlBox only allows you to modify stages. I want to CREATE stages.

What programs do you use to make custom stages?
