Backup your hacks no matter how safe you think your computer may be. Mediafire, Google Drive, anything you can think of. Heck, USB HDDs, SD cards, anything you can get a hold of.
MediaFire isn't exactly the most reliable file hosting site though, since if your hacks get suspended for copyright infringement too much, your MediaFire account will eventually face permanent suspension. It happened to me, and it can surely happen to anyone else.
Dropbox seems like a better option for backing up your hacks, especially if you're able to access the work from more than one computer.
Keep in mind though that this is only an incident that you'll get with the I4, I8, IA4, and IA8 texture formats. For some reason, black equals transparency with those formats when viewed with BrawlBox, but for other programs like the SZS Modifier and BRRES Viewer, that incident is not present.
is there any quick way to convert a group of tga textures to png?
The GIMP can modify .tga textures without any problems. If you're using Photoshop CS3 or later, however, transparency is held differently for the .tga image format.
I don't really see how a joke like that would be remotely funny, so it may be a problem on your own computer.
Try and clear your cache and cookies, see if it removes that stuff?
I tried that, but that didn't work; I still ended up on the 404 Not Found page. The problem started occurring even before I changed my wireless router's security settings, so I doubt that the WEP security setting is doing this.
Is this some sort of joke? I mean, if everyone else is getting on the Brawl Vault okay, why am I not?
Edit: New discovery. It seems that if I access the Brawl Vault, via, my vault ID, I get on without any problems. Therefore, the problem seems to only occur with the following link alone...
You also need to consider the file size of your stage hack. While stage .pac files aren't compressed, their archives are compressed. Therefore, you need to make sure that your stage .pac file uses less memory than normal when using Ocarina codes.
I do know that Toon Link has PAT0 animations that DO use palettes; for example, his eye lids are all CI8 textures. Any textures that use the CI4 and CI8 texture formats will be using palettes, while all the other texture formats don't have to worry about palettes at all.
Simply put, if you're doing PAT0 animations for Toon Link, you must make sure that the textures and palettes correspond with each other, or else the eye lids won't look right when you test them in-game.
Sorry for bumping such a very old thread that I've stopped working on, but due to my MediaFire account being suspended, I had to change the hosting site for the Texture Mega Pack. The new download link is up, but there will not be any new versions of the Texture Mega Pack; version 3 is the final revision.
Thank you for your suggestions people. Fortunately, I was smart enough to back up all of my work onto a storage device, so once I've chosen my new hosting area, I'll be updating all of my Brawl Vault entries with new download links. Post Merge: October 12, 2012, 01:22:39 PMI've managed to get things back in order now, now that I'm using Dropbox. All that I can hope for now is to see that the change holds itself.
Damn, that sucks. Did they say why they suspended your account?
All that I know is that my account has had a fair number of file suspensions, due to copyright infringement. The latest file suspension (an audio hack) pretty much pulled the plug on my MediaFire account.
