That vertex-edited Wart is awesome. The only problem on it that I can see is that the "jewel" texture on top of the crown is stretched. Other than that, amazing.
From Smash 64 and Melee, Link has regained his rapid jabs!
It works like Pit's jab. Mash the button for rapid jabs, hold or press slower for the normal combo. Each stab is 2% damage close to Link, 1% further outward.
Here is the FitLink.pac, and here is the FitLinkMotionEtc.pac. (There's also a minor animation edit to b-air to make it a little more Melee-esque)
I have run into a problem that I probably will not be able to fix. There seems to be a file size limit, so if I try to put too many custom textures in, the game freezes. I'll have to compromise somehow... re-use some textures on structures, maybe.
Version 1 download is up, the texture isn't completely finished (see notes on the OP), but I thought I would put a download up and see what you guys think so far.
Thanks! I'm happy with the background, but chances are the blocks won't look as good. I'm a bit limited with the textures I can use, and the blocks can't animate, either.
--- Version 1 download of the Subspace custom stage, with the animated background, is here.
Version 1, because, it is still not finished. I have not given textures to structures, moving platforms, wheels, springs, ladders, or PokeTrainer's platform. Because of that, those objects take on the texture of whatever piece you placed down last, which is kind of weird. Also, conveyor belts just have their default texture right now.
I tried to make a wide variety of blocks. With the blocks below, you can switch between 2 textures by switching their direction.
Do you play on the PAL version of the game? His sounds are really bizarre when I play as him (NSTC version).
For example... most of his attacks have the announcer say stuff. Like, he'll randomly say "Share stock" or "Congratulations!" or "New record!" or it plays the "dragoon piece get" sound.
If I use his up-taunt, he says "Player 1", if I use his side-taunt he says "Player 2", and his down-taunt makes this weird boost sound.
Up-smash and neutral-b make him say "Wow! Incredible!"
Walking/running makes bunny hood sounds, jumping makes beam sword sounds, and landing makes home-run bat sounds. Kicking either makes bunny hood sounds or "pickup item" sounds.
I found an event in PSA that changes frame speeds. Definitely something useful.
It's event 04070100. Set parameter 0 to "scalar", and put in the number you want to multiply the speed of the move by.
Of course, you can change the speeds of moves at any frame you want. For example, on the Roy .pac, I changed his f-smash so it starts at 0.75x speed, then changes back to 1x speed after 11 frames.
