Assuming this is not done yet I would like to make a suggestion if I may. Due to how bright it is I kinda looks like most of Ganons true details have been faded out/smudged over. I understand the Nintendo look is crucial for this project but even Melee used a more conscious texture style for Ganon that slightly differed from Mario, Pokemon and even Link in some ways in order to maintain his realism.
Im a huge fan your work(both of you) so I think its only right Im honest.
But I initial reaction to the render was;
I think you should add Ganon's default texture over this and fade is by half or so. So it has more detail from the original texture in it. This looks a bit too toony. The red accents are cool and clever and I like how that came out.
