^ Mm. I like these ideas. That way you aren't just attacking the ground in front of you with your spells. It would also add a certain level of unpredictability to Kratos' spell casting.
I've found, when playing against other human opponents, that every spell aside from the L3 spells are useless because they are so predictable, (Opponents quickly learn to avoid the small area which is effected by the spells), So I end up attacking air and then get hammered during my post-spellcast time.
The only spells I ever use are L3 spells because the area-of-effect is large enough to catch people in EVEN when they know it is coming.
By the way DivineOverlord, how is Eruption coming? I believe you said you were planning to start a new animation for it? Just wanting to see if any progression has been made.
I still don't understand why you couldn't just duplicate the model. But that shows how ignorant I am of how vertexing works. Oh well, someone will figure it out eventually.
Don't feel bad about releasing SkullKid updates frequently. I love it when a character gets new versions!! (Even if it's every couple of days) It keeps the project feeling fresh and in progress.
Has anyone mentioned that the side-tilt a often has graphical glitches? Sometimes when I use the move, the fairy doesn't come out, or else all you see is a fireball looking thing. Just thought I would mention it.
How I found the scream works in Majora's Mask and how Divine has made it work in Brawl is it's just a short scream repeated a bunch of times making the illusion of a long annoying scream.
So just replace TL's scream with a scream that fits that time frame (obviously). But make sure it's just the one scream. And don't try to fit Skull Kids whole long scream into there.
Unless you found a better way of course. : P
That's good advice, but I am not the one who is making the brstm. I just provided a few sound files.
I have noticed a couple of things while playing around with this character, I'm not sure if they have already been discussed, but I don't think they have.
1. Hold down and shield for about 3 seconds and look what happens. Is this an easter egg?
2. Would it be possible to use a taunt button to switch between the different masks in the game? Maybe someone could texture a bunch of different ones so that you could have different bonuses for every mask.
3. Your new update to the texture of SkullKid may have messed up his mask... I tried it out today and actual Majora's mask texture, FitToonLink_arms2, is NOT visible.. Instead the wooden looking texture called FitToonLink_arms3 is overlayed onto the mask. Has anyone else had this issue?
Wow, I am impressed. You really took it like a pro. If it had been me, I would have freaked out after working on it for so long.
I'm not sure which scream you are referring to, but I found quite a few. If you think the short scream is missing from my zip though, please give a link to the rip so we can use it!
I hope the same as you. I want a lot of SFX's to be used in this PSA. I purposefully included a bunch of extra SFX's too that may or may not be able to be used. (Like a sound for the mask transformations, maybe for a taunt or something.)
It's really a shame you had to spend so much time working on his voices!! They had already been ripped before and were found at a site online...
I compiled all of Skull Kid's voices I could find along with other very useful SFX's such as Tatle and Tael, Moon, and Mask transforming SFX's. I also zipped them into one folder for ease of download.
Arc Sage: Each wave file has a data offset that you can see when you click on one wave in the right window, call this wave data offset.
Dataoffset2 is a thing completely different. Open smashbros sound in smashbox, and go click on snd_group_chara Marth, dataoffset2 is there. Write this dataoffset2 carefully because it is one of the informations among the most important, there are some math that involve it.
Well I've been working on it for a while, and progress is slow, but it's coming along. Have you ACTUALLY tried using the japanese voices in the game yet?
The reason I ask is, if they don't work, were both doing all of this for nothing.
Is there a way for you to test it before I we get any further into this project?
