Is it really high-poly? It looks like it might be. Also, were you planning on it being the main platform or have it fly around in the background or something?
If there was one character that made me think "wow he has a great recovery" it wasn't Lucas, but I hardly ever play as him so whatever.
The changes themselves don't seem to be too drastic, so I guess I'm not as worried as I was before. Tethers being useable only once in the air does concern me though.

I personally felt recoveries were fine and didn't really need tweaking. The only one that really comes to mind is Pikachu's due to there being a weird delay between Quick Attack direction changes.
I don't feel this is needed and I hope they don't break anything by trying to fix things, but we'll see.
The transparency you can probably fix by nabbing the hair material from the original model and using that, keeping the texture format in mind
The faces can be fixed by selecting one of the face objects, scrolling down on the right until you see Visibility Bone, and changing it to the appropriate bone. The regular face will need to be set to something like FaceM, the hurt face to OuchM, the talk face to TalkM... Something along those lines.
