46  Help & Tutorials / Help / What are the ID numbers for songs that would belong to custom stages? on: November 23, 2010, 12:17:41 AM
I have 16 custom stages from the Stage Roster Expansion, each of the 16 stages occupied by Mewtwo2000's stage pack. Currently I'm learning how to work the Tracklist Modifier code, but in the mean time I'd also like to know what are the ID numbers for songs that would be on stages 2A - 4E? By song IDs I'm talking about X07, M09, K08, etc., or do they have to share the same songs as whatever tracklist they borrow from?
47  Help & Tutorials / Help / Game freezes if I select a stage in My Music on: November 23, 2010, 12:08:18 AM
Any idea why? It never did this before until I replaced MiscData[7] in mu_menumain.pac with MiscData[140], the file exported from Any Length Song Title Tool's info.pac. Could it simply be because I have too many songs? How big does my mu_menumain and/or info.pac files have to be before they get too big and freeze the game? Because right now my info.pac file is like 390 KB right now.
48  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Music & SFX / Mike's Mega Music [Last Update: 12/10/10] on: November 22, 2010, 07:24:04 PM
Making .brstms is sort of the only kind of hack I can do right now so that explains why I have a lot. I also enjoy contributing my hacks to the site.

Just so you know, some of my earlier songs may be not perfectly looped or low in volume; this is because I used Audacity and BrawlBox to make brstms at the time. I now use BCSM-GUI to make them. As I make more songs and get more experienced, my looping skill may improve; they already have since the beginning. But even my worst loops aren't that noticeable.

49  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Music & SFX / How do you loop/see loop samples in Audacity? on: November 22, 2010, 02:15:36 PM
Yeah because I have to use BrawlBox to get loop samples to use in BCSM-GUI. If I knew how to find loop samples in Audacity I wouldn't need to use BrawlBox and it would be a lot faster. Any help?
50  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Battle Screen Portraits not appearing during the match on: November 21, 2010, 11:55:51 PM
I don't understand. Only my Zero V2 BSPs work but none of my other ones do, yet they've been created using the right method...

Here is a picture of my /portrite. The only ones that work are IntFace020 - 026. IntFace003 (Ice Mario), 182 (Green and White Falco), and 333 (Vanguard Ike) don't work.

51  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Is it possible to edit CSPs and SSPs for Giga & Co. and Stage Roster Expansion? on: November 21, 2010, 05:10:08 PM
I want to make the Alloys, Giga Bowser and Warioman have their own CSPs without having to share the same one of the character they're based off of (i.e. Red Alloy and Captain Falcon have their own CSPs). I also want to know if I can edit the stage pictures and whatnot of the Stage Roster Expansion stages. Is any of this possible?
52  Help & Tutorials / Help / How do I get Gecko backgrounds to work? on: November 20, 2010, 10:10:00 PM
I was browsing through the Misc > Other area once here and came across backgrounds made for Gecko. I downloaded the file and placed the image just how it was in the root of my SD card where it said in the description to go. When I launch Gecko it still has the default "Mayan ruins"-type background with the Gecko at the top. Why isn't the image file working?

File looks like this:

53  Help & Tutorials / Help / "Could not find file "rel/" on: November 20, 2010, 09:14:24 PM
Using Bero's Stage Switcher, I put a .rel in the folder, prompt the Stage Switcher.exe, tell it what to convert the .rel file into, and then it says "Could not find file "rel/". Any idea why it's not letting me convert?

54  Help & Tutorials / Help / Game freezes at SSS every time I add a new GCT or edit an existing GCT on: November 20, 2010, 03:09:25 PM
All I did was remove the "New Pork City is Wi-Fi Waiting room" code in Code Manager. I then saved it as a .txt and replaced the 'BrawlMinus1.5b' txt file with my new one that doesn't have that code. I then exported it as a .gct and replaced the old one with it. Now the game freezes at the SSS. Also, any other GCT file that I add to my /codes folder -- such as ASF1nk's CSS GCT and PhantomWings's Stage Roster Expansion GCT -- freezes my game at the SSS. It's like my game will not allow me to edit its codes or add new ones.

If it helps, I'm using Gecko OS and Stack Smash. See the thing is Brawl Minus loads up properly and I can do ANYTHING in the game until I'm required to select a stage. The moment I get to the SSS it freezes. And no, it is not because my selmap.pac is too large; I hardly have anything added to it plus my game never froze at the SSS before until the new GCTs were added.

I'm a newbie at adding codes, so I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'll give you a step-by-step of what I did to make NPC not the Wi-Fi room:

1. I opened 'BrawlMinus1.5b' in Code Manager.
2. I right-clicked the code that makes NPC Wi-Fi room and removed it because I have a custom stage that's supposed to go over NPC.
3. I checked all the codes and saved it as 'BrawlMinus1.5b' to my Desktop, then I moved it to my /codes folder to replace the old default 'BrawlMinus1.5b' file.
4. I exported the same file as a GCT and saved it to my /codes folder, automatically overwriting the default RSBE01.gct file in there.
5. I opened the new .txt file to check if the NPC is wifi room code was gone and it was. Checked my GCT with GCTEdit v1.0, and it was also missing the code. So my game should work, right? Why doesn't it?
55  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Music & SFX / Any Length Song Title Tool -- doesn't appear in game on: November 18, 2010, 11:15:33 PM
I put songs.db into my ALSTT folder, opened the outputted info.pac with BrawlBox and looked at MiscData[140]; it has all my song titles in the little box there. I made myself an 'info2' folder and placed the 'info.pac' in there. I start up the game and none of my song titles appear in game. Why? The info.pac has my custom titles and is in the right directory...so why won't it work?

Very late edit: It worked all along; the titles don't appear in Training Mode which I've been using to test it. They only appear in Versus Mode.
