What do I have to do to make them look exactly like the others? I use the LeviBrush font and 144x24 size, but I don't know what to do after that. What do I have to do layers-wise, what size does it need to be, what aliasing does it need, etc.; I need to know all this because I tried it with no idea in my head what I had to do and the font appeared all rough, fat, and was aligned to the left instead of the center when I viewed it in BrawlBox. I use GIMP by the way.

Try centering the text so that its distance from the left and right are the same.  The same also applies for above and below too.

On a side note, I4 textures don't use transparency, so the background has to be colored black, while the text is colored white.

Does it have to be perfectly centered? Also, is there a specific size I should use or any other text effects?

Anyway, here's how I got it to look after following your instructions:

The I4 texture format only accepts grayscale colors, so making multi-colored names is pointless.  Regarding specific text size, there really isn't one, and if you're using The GIMP, you can always resize your text by using the scale layer option.

Whoever said I wanted multi-colored names? I never even once thought of doing that.

Does it matter if it's perfectly centered?

Anyway, I see. I did a re-do since the last picture I put; tell me if this looks about right. The file size is 4.35 KB on the desktop; is that ok?

As long as sc_selcharacter.pac doesn't exceed 3.79 MB, it should work.

On a side note, PNG images tend to vary in size, but they never use more memory than an uncompressed TarGA image whenever they use the same color settings and use alpha layers.

My selcharacter didn't go over the limit (3.42 MB (3,595,952 bytes)) but my game still froze. I deleted all my codes except File Patch but it still freezes...
