Riivolution NOOB Questions?

Hey everyone i have been on brawl hacks for awhile using Gecko OS but now I am wanting to try out Riivolution and I have some questions. I look at videos on youtube, but there arent any real good tutorials so these are some questions that I have.

1. Where do I get the right Riivolution download?

2. Where do I get the files to put in the Riivolution folder?  

3. How do I setup my folder so that the hacks can be read?  

4. Where do I put movie files?

5. How do I change character voices and announcer calls?

6. I use ASF 1 custom flamming blue CSS how do I get it to work?

7. How come my camera I restricted when it wasnt on Gecko?

8. Do I really Have to put all my CSS's and other Icons in the common 5 pac and if so how come my stages are the same texture hacks icons and all?

9. Why did i have to go through this?

10. What do you name THP movies to replace intro and cut scenes for brawl?

11. Does Riivolution prevent you from moving your ingame pics to your SD card becuz the only way I moved them was to play my gecko or regular version and move them to the SD card that way.

If someone can give a detailed explanation anwsering these questions it would really be appreciated not just by me, but for all the noobies wanting to use Riivolution

My explanation's going to be referring to BY's Riivolution setup (that's what I use, and it's the simplest method so far)

1: There's really no such thing as a "right" Riivo download, but (as mentioned above) BeyondYou has a Riivo setup that uses Gecko's directories, allowing an easier set-up for first time users. You can download that here: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=16990

2: If you go with BY's method, all the files you need will be supplied in the download. If not, you'll have to get an XML template and set up the directories manually (which can get really tedious, I've heard.)

3: Same as above. There are a few guides floating around that you can Google for a walkthrough of the setup. As soon as I find one, I'll post it here if necessary

4: Movie files go into private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/movies. (Note that this works ONLY with BY's Riivo setup.)

5: Character voices and announcer calls can be set up through hex editors or through the Sawndz tool available in the vault. Sawndz is much easier if you want to put in pre-made hex packets. And there are some downloads that provide you with a pre-edited BRSAR, and all you'd have to do is place that in your directory's sound folder (located in the pf folder as well)

6: To get your custom CSS to work, you'd have to copy the contents of your sc_selcharacter and sc_selmap .pac files and place them into a Common5.pac (Which is what Riivo will be reading.)

7: Most likely you had a problem with your code setup. If you use BY's setup, you'd have to place your .gct file into the /pf folder as well.

8: As I mentioned above, yes you do. But you can export the MiscData[30] and MiscData[70] from your sc_selcharacter and sc_selmap files and put them into your common5 that way. It saves alot more time, obviously~

9: IMO, there's no reason to switch to Riivolution unless you want to edit character voices or Brawl's movie files. Gecko OS can do everything else besides those two things, really.

I got everything all most to normal except that my lower icons dont work and my individual icons for samus zerosuit, pokemon, and zelda/sheik arent there what should I do they work for my gecko jus not for Riivolution.

Hmm...I've had something like that happen to me before. Do you think you could show all the codes you're using in your GCT?

I'm using ASF1's RSBEeverything GCT I figgured out the problem I had to put the gct file in the pf folder on the SD card for Riivolution to read it.

I have another question that I forgotto add to the list and will do in a min, what exactly do you name the thp movies to replace cutscenes?

If you want to replace opening it is OPmovie.thp I believe
