Maybe I didn't look in the right section, but is there a way to use a completely new character such as Goku over pit which Gokus moveset and such, but only on one of pits texture slots? Or do I have to sacrifice pit all together to play as goku? Maybe theres a way to add Goku as his own character selection? If someone could either answer this or point me in the direction of the answer, I would greatly appreciate it!

You have to sacrifice Pit in order to play as Goku... unless you some how port him to someone else. At which, you'll sacrifice another character.
In other words, you can't partially sacrifice one character to play another one.

You would have to sacrifice all of Pit's slots, not just one. If you can find a version that has been ported over a different character then you would be able to replace all of that characters slots instead.

i actually use the multi file patch code (think 3.5.5 now? not sure) and it adds another partition of files to replace giving u double the characters. you still cant have a moveset on pit and change files and use the second pit to fight at the same time tho. can only use one of them at a time.
