Author Topic: HUD - Characters' Game-Specific Icons?  (Read 1777 times)

So I've more recently began hacking SSBB through the SD card method, and I'm loving it.

I've almost completely replaced Sonic with Shadow, and I made a Shadow the Hedgehog icon to replace the default sonic face icon.  But however, it only seems to work on the CSS.  If you're confused as to what exactly this is, it's the logo behind the percentage counter on the HUD - Super Mario Bros characters all have mushrooms, Zelda characters have a Triforce, Pokemon characters have a Pokeball, and Sonic has his head.



What file are those under?  I've searched high and low, and I've yet to find it.  I've gone into the common5.pac, the select screen file, the select map file, everything.  Unless it's under something other than textures, I'm not sure where to look.  Google hasn't helped much either.

I appreciate any help that anyone can provide, and I apologize if this topic already exists - just point it to me and I'll ask there.  Thanks!

    They are in the common5.pac
    Go to sc_selcharacter_en -> MiscData[30] -> Textures (NW4R)
    And they start at MenSelchrMark.00

    I've tried this on both the one in the common5.pac and the one on my custom CSS's sc_selcharacter_en.pac, and neither seem to get it to change...

    In addition, does anyone know how to change the result screen logos?  Thanks, LookItsLink for any help - if you happen to know any more, give me a holler.

    Wait, in my BrawlBox, the files are called Type1[30], not MiscData[30] and so on.   Would this make a difference?

    Also, would having a sc_selcharacter_en in my menu2 have any effect on it, even if I altered the same file in that one as I did in common5.pac's?
