How can i do this

So ive been using PSA to make basic character hacks and now i am looking to get a little more advanced

My question is how can i, or rather is it possible to grab a pic from the internet of a character and use that image as a model for a replacement.

Say for example grab a picture of jigglypuff, can i simply
Put that picture over kirby?

My goal is to make one character look like a completely different character  as Noobly as possible

A tutorial or basic instructions would be nice

It's not as easy as taking a picture and putting it over someone. You'd need to use 3ds max to accomplish this. That guy also used seemed to use sprite animation, I am to say the least very impressed with his work.
