I know this is going to be off-topic, but please hear me out.

I have been trying for quite some time to give the game "Fortune Street" an overhaul, with new stages, songs, and characters. I know that it isn't a popular game, but it is popular to me!

So I have been messing around with the .brres files, trying to import different models into the game. Mainly, I have been trying to take brawl's pikachu model and supplant it over an existing model.

Using BrawlBox, I imported the pikachu model, pikachu's textures, pikachu's animations (.chr0), and pikachu's .pat0's for applicable animations. I have previously model rigged a character, but without it's own proper animations, it ended up looking weird.

When I attempt to run the game, I get invalid read instructions....Does it have anything to do with the models being different versions (9 vs 11)?

Is what I am doing possible? Even in Brawl, can you take a .mdl0 and import it over another .mdl0, complete with replacing the animations? Is there a good guide that I could read that could help point me in the right direction? I really feel like I have been researching this for quite some time but to no avail.

I would really appreciate any help, or any place where I could read up on what it is that I am missing.
