Hai. If you haven't checked out my latest hack, go do it now. http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=13640Download everything in the Brawl Hax folder (bin2jpg is optional and is for conversion of Brawl BIN pictures to JPEG pictures). I need help with the hats on my Kirby hack. They, strangely enough, turn Kirby back to his normal texture. If anyone can fix this, please do and send it to me. You will be credited hugely for doing such a big job. From the kirby.zip folder, all you need is the hat files. Although it would be great if you could edit the Warp Star for his entry to be red.

Need some music made into a mashup or edited so it loops? Just send me a PM and I'll have it done as soon as I can! If you think any edit you make sucks, don't. Even if it doesn't get many downloads, it will still be excellent because you put your honest effort into it. Stick to your own opinions instead of letting others negatively influence them.

Kirby has 6 hat textures that affect his model. They include the following...
*Donkey Kong *Mr. Game & Watch *Falco *Olimar *Jigglypuff *Solid Snake
The Mr. Game & Watch hat is used by ALL color slots. For the other 5 hats, each hat has a total of 6 PAC files; each one is used by a specific Kirby color slot.
*FitKirbyDonkey##.pac *FitKirbyFalco##.pac *FitKirbyPikmin##.pac *FitKirbyPurin##.pac *FitKirbySnake##.pac
Replace ## with 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, or 05. Default is 00, red is 01, green is 02, blue is 03, yellow is 04, grayscale is 05.
Regarding Kirby's entry, I believe that you edit FitKirbyEntry.pac.

Thank you, mnsg. I realize that FitKirbyEntry.pac is for Kirby's entry (I bet nobody could have possibly figured that out), but I'm pretty lazy sometimes, so I didn't want to have to edit the entry myself. But I see the error in my ways. I just don't know if I need to just change the star part or whether I need to change that pinkish background as well. Say, do you happen to know how to fix the unusual "mask" that appears on Kirby's face when he has the Smash Ball fire? Additionally, it disappears when he actually uses the FS.

Kirby's Final Smash eyes are controlled by four texture parts, with each one using the RGBA8 texture format. As a result, those textures can have multiple transparent colors. Refer to the guide on the quote below for the full details on dealing with flat-eyed Final Smash eyes.If you're using The GIMP, follow the steps below. I'll be using Kirby's eye as an example.
1: Open up the eye texture that you want to edit.
2: Choose the Free Select Tool.

3: Using the Free Select Tool, make a circle around the eye itself, as shown on the image below.

4: Next, go to Select -> Invert to invert the selection. Then, press Delete on the keyboard to get the results below.

5: Finally, save the image, preferably as a TarGA (.tga) image.
6: Although optional, load up Photoshop CS3/CS4 and open the edited eye texture from there. Check the Alpha Layer, and you'll see that the Final Smash eye isn't messed up. For further proof, you can turn on/off the Alpha Layer by going to the channels menu.

7: In regards to importing the Final Smash eyes onto the flat-eyed characters, pay close attention to the Final Smash eye texture formats below.
Kirby: RGBA8 Pikachu: RGB5A3 Ness: RGBA8 Ice Climbers: RGBA8 Lucas: RGBA8 Jigglypuff: RGB5A3
While the Final Smash eyes in RGBA8 format will be all right, the RGB5A3 format Final Smash eyes will experience some color , which could make them look weird in-game (especially in Pikachu's case). Unfortunately, changing texture formats tend to lead to texture errors or game crashes.
Hope that this helps for you. Basically, take the normal eye textures, color the eyes with a yellowish color, and delete everything except for the eye itself. Save as a TarGA image, and then import the texture. Do the guide correctly and there should NOT be anything colored black when Kirby gets the Smash Ball.

Thx, but I actually figured this out a few minutes after reading your first post. I've decided to give you credit on V2, though, since you helped me out. You are (and I mean this as a compliment, as I don't know whether you respect or despise him) as nice as PAVGN. Yes, he helped me in the past. Aside from that, thx again.

It looks like mnsg got around to helping you before I did. As far as I can tell he didn't leave out anything, And for the record I'm pretty sure he has nothing against me as I've talked to him several times and generally speaking he's not a negative person.
Too bad there aren't more people in the community like him. :/
