Question for slight model adjustment

Hi all! I have a question relating to a slight, and cosmetic adjustment to a model

I recently downloaded a very pretty Kingdom Hearts Sephiroth Import for Ike by DevMasters (love how it looks, cheers to him!). The only dilemma I have is the sword is a bit too long for my tastes. Yes yes I know that is like the real size in the FF series but still, it'd be helpful for me and mostly the people I play with if I can make it shorter

So I have BrawlBox, and I have another Seph model (the older one I used) by Aafyre. His import included a short sword version! So I opened up the pcs files and I'm wondering if I can simply replace a file relating to the sword on the new file from the old one.

Would anybody happen to know if this is possible? And also if so, which file or files within the pcs and pac would I be replacing?
