For some reason when I use brawlbox and open up the MiscData[80].brres in the sc_selmap.pac and replace anything in the texture folder like a stage name or picture, and I save it, it screws everything up. When I reopen the texture folder after saving it, everything has lost its name. its just a bunch of icons. The icons still open up what they are supposed to, like the stage name or picture, but they don’t have there file names anymore. And of course if I put it back in the common5.pac and try and run it, I cant get into the stage select screen because it freezes.
So, for example, I want to change the stage name for the first custom level. Im using the stage expansion stuff. So, the file I’m replacing is MenSelmapFontStname.32. so I grab my new made stage name file which is titled MenSelmapFontStname.32.jpg, and replace it. Then I save the file, and close brawlbox. I open it again, and check in the textures folder, and everything in there has now lost its name and is all messed up.
I have tried many different things. I tried changing the file names. I tried adding a png instead of a jpg. I can’t figure out what is wrong. The file is not to big. Its 208x56. I cant figure out why this is happening.
