I have just spent over two hours trying to get Shadow on Brawl through the texture hacking. I have put all the files in the correct places on my sd card but when I hit the Brawl button in Group (for multiplayer) it freezes up. I have no clue as to what is going on so I'll list what I am certain of:
I am trying to use the most recent Shadow hack by Masterklo
I have tried getting it to work with Gecko OS and the File Patch Code by Phantom Wings
Spent hours trying to find the smashbros_sound.brsar file that works with it
Currently trying to figure out how to make it work with Riivolution
That is all I can say fr sure at the time. I have only just gotten interested in texture hacking yesterday so I know next to nothing about it. If possible, I'm hoping someone could just send me a folder with everything all set up and let me know where to put it in my sd or take a look at my sd cards folders and tell me what I'm doing wrong. The former option would be greatly appreciated but really any help at all is fine.

I can pm you it by tmrw night, and as for the hack, ive used both and you should use Sdoom's instead, it's called shadow v.2.55 Lord of chaos. Much better and easier to use, not that im dissing Mastaklo, he's really good too  |

sound hacks will not work for gecko and will cause it to freeze, (not to be confused with music hacks). u need riivo for that anything else other then movie hacks should work with gecko tho |

If you could email me me the file bingox2 that would be great. I was curious to know though, if you can set it up so that both shadow and sonic can be used at the same time, (like have a battle with both characters). However you would like to send it to me is fine though.

The thing is for the rest I cant really help cus your 2nd problem is also mine too, check my topic on the help boards it might help and check out the shadow kong download for shadow and sonic

Thanks for the help. open up sc_selchar.pac in brawlbox, in one of the directories theres the character select portraits and in another there r the select icons just switch them with a shadow image, there r lots on the site. |

I'm not entirely sure how to do that but I will try it soon, although that still doesn't answer my question on how to use both shadow and sonic. Is it at all possible to make Shadow one of Sonic's alternate costume or do have to replace him entirely?

if u want shadows move set u will need to replace sonic's. u can only have one psa on a character. u could always add the shadow costume to sonic tho. if u want to use both there is a port of shadow over donky kong. it would replace donkey kong with shadow and u can keep sonic.

ok well how exactly do you know if the character select portraits are already setup and where do you put the files to make them work. I am now using riivolution with brawlmods just be clear as possible and no confusion

in my sig is a link to brawlbox u will need that and a common5_en.pac file it's not as simple as just moving images into a folder. u will need to open the common5 file in the brawlbox program. in brawlbox go to sc_selcharacter_en then open char_bust_tex_lz77. find the character u want to add a csp for and replace it
