First time hacker help

Hey guys this is my first time hacking a wii and i'm running into a wall so I appreciate the help. I followed The Complete N00B's Guide to Brawl Hacking that's stickied at the top but I wasn't sure If I would be necroposting there so here I am.

I've used the Smash Stack hack to get homebrew channel running. I also have Gecko and Riivolution installed. I've setup my SD card with all the folders and XML's. And I've loaded a few stage .pac's and .rel's into the /melee and /module filepaths respectively. I think I've loaded the Code Manager codes correctly but I'm unsure what they're supposed to do so it could be that they're not correct.

Nothing is working and I've rechecked instructions again and again.  I followed the tutorial I found here http://nintenzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3286 and that one worked for my stages.

I want to get the files working in the folder hierarchy used here (pf/etc../etc/) but It's not working.

So I guess this means that the wii isn't accessing my pf folders correctly. Does this mean I have the wrong XML? I can post anything you need to solve this.

 :angel: sorry about that i just wanted to help him out because i remenber when i was new to hacking and it was really hard to do :P wont happen again, plus anyone who needs this info can look at this forum now ^.^

Ohh and no problem zylecher :) glad i could help, yea the xml files are hard to find these days.   iand its just annoying to not know what to do when you got so far into hacking and cant find what your looking for lol so yea have fun and if you wanna fight me in brawl let me have your friend code :) im really good

yeaa  this is the most recent way,  one thing i have to say one thing,  u dnt need homebrew you can get riivolution patch, in the link below,  just format sd card, nd watch the video it will tell u wat to do  then there you go

yes wii u can run riivolution but only onn the classic wii menu,  this is an updatd version than the wii but it is just an update to play on wii u
