I'm a noob so bear with me please. ^^ I just started looking into brawl hacks about two days ago, and so far I have the hang of using .pac and .pcs files to change the texture of a character without a single issue no problem. HOWEVER, since yesterday I have been trying to figure out how to get the Cloud Strife Platinum Edition [Over Olimar] to work, but I don't understand some of the instruction in the readme files within this pack. Which leads me to believe that I may not have even setup my SD cards pf folder stuff right and may have placed the files in the wrong folder/folders. I pretty much need someone to inform me of how to setup my sd card to use through gecko OS with brawl, and then I need help with how to setup Cloud Strife Platinum Edition [Over Olimar] to actually work, because as is it is freezing and making a horrid buzzing sound when trying to enter brawl in multiplayer. Sorry for any confusion. Any help is much appreciated, cause this is driving me nuts. xD

Ok, for this hack alone, you need these things first (if you don't have them):

1. A "pf" folder.
2. A "fighter" folder in your "pf" folder.
3. A "module" folder in your "pf" folder.
4. A "Pikmin" folder in your "fighter" folder.

Of coure, in the root of your SD card, you should have a "private" folder. In that folder, should be a "Wii" folder. In that folder, should be an "App" folder. In that folder, should be (I'm assuming) an "RSBE" folder (RSBP if you're a PAL user). And in that folder is where your "pf" folder goes.

If that's done, follow the other steps. If you have that done, you go to your download for Cloud over Olimar. Open it with WINRAR or whatever you have to open that .rar file. In there, go to the "+New Fighter+" folder and extract EVERYTHING except the README file to the "Pikmin" folder you created in your "fighter" folder in your "pf" folder (etc.).

My SD card uses a PERFECT Ike .rel on Olimar. The one provided to you is not a perfect .rel because it needs soundbank codes (which trigger after playing 1 whole match with said character first) and IC-constant codes, which are already included in the module file here:

Ike module for Olimar

Download this and place it in the "module" folder that's in your "pf" folder. That should be all you need to get the hack working, that and the file patch code.

If it still doesn't work, it could be the hack. That Ike module will allow you to use ANY Cloud hack on Olimar, since Cloud is originally an Ike hack. You could look up all of Ike's hacks and use them on Olimar. You'd just rename the files from "FitIke.pac" or "FitIke00.pcs" to "FitPikmin.pac" or "FitPikmin00.pcs". As long as that module is on Olimar, you can literally use any Ike hack on Olimar by renaming the "Ike" part of each file to "Pikmin" and putting it in the "Pikmin" folder.

That should be all. I'm not entirely sure where the Cloud hack I have came from (it was on my SD card from the start), but if the Cloud hack STILL doesn't work after you try this, I could link you to a download of that one. It's my favorite Cloud moveset so far. I've looked around A LOT for other Cloud PSAs and have come up with nothing as satisfying as the one I already had on mine. It's over Dedede right now, but I could rename them accordingly for you, if this doesn't work.

I figured out what the problem was! My sc_selcharacter.pac was too big. Changed a few CSPs that were not used that much. Your .rel file also helped too, thanks alot Aura. Grin I'd like to try your cloud PSA aswell, is it too much trouble to port it to be used with Cloud over Olimar?

You're welcome. I could find the thread for you that has the original module files (for Ike, Marth, Sonic, and a few others) that you can use over other characters. You have to download the module editor that's linked in the thread and edit the modules according to the instructions so that they fit over whoever you want to replace (with Ike or whoever), but it works great. Based on quite a bit of evidence though, I've concluded that you can't port characters over Kirby, probably due to him having .pac data of all characters.

Anyway like I said, that .rel makes it so Olimar as Cloud will have a full AAA combo, and will have Ike's soundbank, but you have to play a match or two with him first to get the sound, but at least no codes! Cheesy

And sure. Here's the download to it. I already renamed all the files. I also included the FitPikminDark and FitPikminSpy files too, unless yours already has them. Along with the attacks and motion files, I included the costumes I use too, and the download has a text file that will tell you which costume is which character (Has KH Cloud, AC Cloud, KH2 Cloud, Inuyasha, Angeal Hewley, and Zack Fair). I had to change the costumes around because Dedede's is 00, 02, 03, 04, 05, and 06, and Pikmin is 00 up to 05, so I hope I got it right.

If anyone downloads this and can tell me who the owner of the PSA is in the vault, that would be awesome. I have NO idea.

Cloud over Olimar

It might even be the same PSA as the one you have on already. I never checked through any other Cloud hacks than the ones on Ike. Here's the move list for you.

AAA = 4 hit combo. Final hit does aura damage

Side tilt = Figure 8 swing. Hits multiple times around Cloud.
Down tilt = Downward swing.
Up tilt = Upward swing above head.

Running A = Side to upward swing that sends opponent above you. Multi hit.

Up smash = Summons lightning bolt to strike at Cloud's feet from slightly above him. Does lightning damage. Multi hit.
Down smash = Cloud hits the ground with his hand and causes a small explosion. Does fire damage.
Side smash = Charges a powerful jumping overhead swing. Does aura damage.

Neutral air = Cloud spins around while swinging his sword. Multi hit.
Up air = Upward swipe. Does aura damage (I think).
Down air = Downward swipe. Fast and can meteor.
Forward air = Forward swipe. Has a half second delay.
Back air = Backward swipe.

Neutral B = Cloud swings his sword and creates a small spinning vortex of wind in front of him to trap opponents. Cloud cannot move till attack is over. Does not last long. Using it in the air creates the vortex under Cloud and does not last as long.
Side B = Cloud charges up a Blade Beam attack that sends a materia shock-wave in front of him. Can be held to charge longer. Does aura damage. Shock-wave is POWERFUL when fully charged. Cannot cancel or use mid-air, so do not use it over a bottomless gap or you'll die.
Down B = Cloud jumps up slightly and shoots 3 small comet balls downward. When used in the air, he simply shoots them down from where he is. Does fire damage.
Up B = Cloud dashes forward SHORTLY and then straight up, catching anyone in his path and dragging them with him. In the air he just goes straight up. Multi hit.

Final Smash = Omni Slash. Similar to Ike's Great Aether, but Cloud vanishes in the middle of it and strikes from multiple angles. Does 999 damage on the final blow, even to people just caught by the final hit. Must be CLOSE to an opponent when using it to activate it, but it hits opponents from all sides (as opposed to Ike who just hits in front of him and slightly behind).

    So I have just recently started messing with hacking and textures in Project M. I have successfully applied a Cloud over Ike mod, but I still want to play as Ike. So I want to do a Cloud over Olimar because I never play as Olimar anymore. (Project M screwed him over...)

    So I have followed all of your instructions, and I have all of the files in the right places, but my game still freezes. Whenever I select Olimar it then loads up the stage selection screen, but then after the countdown at the beginning of the battle it freezes!

    Any ideas on why this would be happening?

    Does it have something to do with me using Project M?



    Any help would be appreciated!  Grin

    Well if the hack came with a .rel, then that's why it freezes the game. No PSA hack that comes with a .rel works with Project M.

    Well if the hack came with a .rel, then that's why it freezes the game. No PSA hack that comes with a .rel works with Project M.


    Well that explains why it isn't working...


    I have another alternative Cloud over Ike that works in Project M, which uses the ft_ike.rel file that came with Project M. If I were to replace the ft_pikmin.rel with a copy of the ft_ike.rel, renamed as ft_pikmin.rel, would that make it possible?
