I can't figure out how to make parts of a texture shiny (like Scorpion's shoulder pads on the Das Donkey site). This would really help with a texture I'm making that has metallic lining on someone's clothing.

um, are you asking HOW to texture hack? Basically, you export it, and then modify it with a picture making/editing tool. Just make sure to get the area you want. If you're not sure where the spot is, experiment!

What I meant was how to make parts of it shiny/reflective. For example, the Cosmic Mario texture is clearly a a different surface than just basic Mario. The same is true for Scorpion's clothing as opposed to his skin, as well as many other textures. I need to know how to make certain areas reflective like this.

so, you're saying only specific areas? If it's that, just change the texture of the disired spot.

It's the shading that's build in the model. You can't give a character an actual shine like Sonic, Captain Falcon, or an emerald texture that doesn't already have one.
