I tried an external capture card but didn't work out so well. I ended up killing it dead... by throwing it against a wall xD

I'm new to this whole internal capture card stuff so I don't know whats good and whats not. I plan on putting it in my desktop running windows XP 32-bit and has a Nvidia Geforce GT 8800 graphics card.

Can anyone help me on this?

I want the 8800 GTS only because it's thinner...
(I don't have to waste a port just for the fan) D:

unfortunatly... I don't even know what a capture card is...
and I'm a computer guru... (oh the irony)
if I knew, I'd gladly help :)

you have been through a lot of hassle. I've watched every topic you posted on this, and most of them seemed to disintegrate gradually.
But the coolest part was that you didn't stop working on it despite that.

a capture card is used to capture video straight from anything that has an AV in/ AV out cable (I think thats what its called) and convert it to a file on ur computer

internal capture cards are hardware, the reason I use internal is because there is are external capture cards as well but don't record as well as internal ones do.
